Happy 91st birthday to Dr. Nicholas Long, our beloved founder and mentor to so many LSCI Trainers.
Below, we share a tribute from Dr. Long's daughter, Anji:
I just wanted everyone to know that today is my wonderful father's 91st Birthday!! 🎉🎂🎊 He no longer has a FB page, but I'll read him your posts.
I was going through my fathers professional files and I was surprised by the number of original contributions he made to the field. I was unaware of a number of them -- my favorite "The Therapeutic Power of Kindness" although as his daughter I live this kindness -- and other people I talked with were also unaware of his contributions. Sheldon Braaten, the collector of the history of the field, recently sent me a chapter of a book written by his mentor that I had not read. My dad's professional files will be sent to Sheldon's Library.
