Saying that “we do not have a problem with migrants” does not automatically mean that trust exists.

In a survey conducted on a representative sample of 1,300 Romanians, 69% of respondents reported a high level of distrust towards migrants. This contradiction deserves our attention.

Distrust does not always come from direct experience. Sometimes it grows from limited contact, incomplete information, and messages that present differences as threats.

These figures are not a reason to judge people. They are a sign that we need more dialogue, verified information, and genuine encounters between communities. Before fear speaks on our behalf, we can ask questions, check the facts, and listen to the experiences of the people we are discussing.

A spune că „nu avem o problemă cu migranții” nu înseamnă automat că există și încredere.

Într-un sondaj realizat pe un eșantion reprezentativ de 1.300 de români, 69% dintre respondenți au declarat că au un nivel ridicat de neîncredere față de migranți. Această contradicție merită atenția noastră.

Neîncrederea nu apare întotdeauna din experiențe directe. Uneori crește din lipsa contactului, din informații incomplete și din mesaje care transformă diferențele în amenințări.

Aceste cifre nu sunt un motiv să judecăm oamenii, ci un semnal că avem nevoie de mai mult dialog, informații verificate și întâlniri reale între comunități. Înainte ca teama să vorbească în locul nostru, putem pune întrebări, verifica informațiile și asculta experiențele celor despre care vorbim.
