For two inspiring weeks, students will train, learn, and grow together while sharing their passion for dance, discovering new cultures, and creating friendships that go beyond borders.

We are excited to welcome
Giorgia Cardinali (Italy)
contemporary dancer and assistant choreographer, bringing a dynamic artistic voice and strong international stage experience to this year’s intensive.

Trained from a young age in both classical and modern dance, Giorgia specialized in contemporary dance, with a particular focus on:
✨ Floorwork
✨ Dance Theatre
✨ Contemporary movement research

She has studied and worked with major contemporary dance techniques, including:
• Horton
• Limón
• Graham

Developing a versatile and expressive artistic language, Giorgia combines technical precision with powerful stage presence and creativity.

Her professional experience includes:
🎭 Dancer in Grande Amore, choreographed by Damiano Bisozzi
🌍 International tour in China with Alice – Opera Ballet by Diego Mecchi and Damiano Bisozzi, performing as corps de ballet dancer and assistant choreographer
📺 Appearance on UnoMattina – Rai Uno for the International Dance Day special, performing excerpts from Jack, Pazzia e Amore
🎭 Participation in the new production of Alice – Opera Ballet, presented in Sofia at the Palace of Culture in February 2026

Giorgia brings fresh energy, contemporary artistry, and valuable international performance experience to our dancers in Sibiu this summer.

✨ SIBIU BALLET INTENSIVE – SUMMER 2026 ✨

We are delighted to welcome
Aleisha Gardner (New Zealand)
choreographer, ballet mistress, university professor, and internationally respected dance educator.

Based in Sibiu, Romania, Aleisha Gardner has built an outstanding international career spanning more than two decades, touring throughout Europe, Asia, and Oceania and creating over 50 original choreographic works for stage, film, gala performances, and major cultural events.

She is currently:
🎭 Resident Choreographer & Rehearsal Mistress at Teatrul de Balet Sibiu
🎓 Professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Her notable productions include:
✨ Othello (2025)
✨ Cinderella (2024)
✨ Der Rosenkavalier (2023)

Aleisha has also collaborated extensively with the Sibiu State Philharmonic and leading Romanian cultural institutions, contributing to innovative productions and artistic projects.

An award-winning artist and dedicated mentor, she has served as:
🌍 Jury member at national ballet competitions
🌍 Guest professor at international dance workshops
🌍 Ballet mistress and choreographer for classical and contemporary productions

Her artistic sensitivity, international experience, and passion for education make her an inspiring presence for every young dancer joining our summer program.

Damiano Bisozzi (Italy)
dancer, choreographer, international director for theatre and television, and one of the most dynamic creative voices of the European performing arts scene.

His artistic career includes major international productions such as:

🎭 Tosca by Lucio Dalla
🎭 Dracula by Premiata Forneria Marconi

Awarded multiple times for his artistic excellence, Damiano Bisozzi received:
🏆 Ballet Talent of the Year – Vatican Swiss Guards
🏆 Choreographer of the Year – Passione Italia Award
🏆 Italian Excellence Abroad Award
🏆 Best Italian Choreographer – Campidoglio, Rome

He is also the choreographer behind internationally acclaimed productions such as Alice in Wonderland, Jack – Pazzia e Amore, and the Ballet Opera Alice, recently touring the most important theatres in China.

🌍 International juror, guest teacher, and Artistic Director of the WLADANZA International Competition in Rome, Damiano brings to Sibiu an extraordinary artistic vision and international experience.
