Music is healing.
I find that I am truly myself when I get lost in the songs that I sing. It's not about perfection, not about the technical side of singing.. it's about moving people and being relatable.
This was one of the projects that allowed me to exercise this the most and I found a new appreciation for another really cool artist. I will be back with some more from Billie cause she's an inspiration.

The Most Emotional Bond Theme?
Who would have guessed that Billie Eilish and James Bond go so well together? I was really pleasantly surprised when I first heard this! 🤤
Whoever thought about doing this song is a genius, swear. This is for sure one of the most underrated Bond themes (not a lot of people talk about this one from what I saw, for some reason).
It made me tear up the first time I heard it, and it still does 🥹

Getting into THAT headspace... It can be terrifying but also freeing. It's something that I'm still getting good at but I intend to own it, in order to become the artist that I want to become.

Billie Eilish And The Power Of Quiet
The quiet power that is the trademark of Billie Eilish takes quite a lot of energy (and lungs lol) to sustain.
She really does convey a lot of emotion with apparently so little because she's actually quite restrained when singing...I mean this girl can clearly belt when she wants too, it's pretty clear on this song 🔥
Only showing hints of her true vocal power gives an hour dynamic. I'm officially a fan now 💚

This Made Me A Billie Eilish Believer
I have to confess that I wasn't a big Billie Eilish fan before this.
I have heard some of her songs before (obviously) and I even had kids compare me to her due to my hair 🤣
However, nothing prepared me for just how good, interesting and challenging her singing style turned out to be 😅
This is a strong contender for my favorite projects that I worked on for now, at least.

This time I switched gears for a more understated project. I think you are gonna like this one 💚
Black and white photos are definitely one of my favorite things to play with, simply because they feel more emotionally raw, to me at least.
No hiding behind flashy colors or shiny makeup and clothes.
They also have a nice vintage feeling, which I know it's a vibe, a vibe that I like as well lol

This project was a tribute for the man that made me dream for the first time. I felt like a kid again and had so much fun! Can't wait to see the movie.. who else is excited?
MJ had a profound effect on kid me, and still does to this day. The most important thing I took from him? Hope. I loved diving into that again, especially with all that's happening all around us 😅
Aaaand this wraps up this fun project! But rest assured, I'll keep moonwalking into infinity 😎
Now onto the next one, it's a bit more.. hmm.. how should I put it? The "power of quiet" .. yeah I like this one 🤣 see you next week! 🫶🏻

I always used to imagine it was me in the Hollywood Tonight music video as a small Michael Jackson fan
Now I finally got to act it out a little bit, so that was immensely fun for me 🥰
Fun fact: since I keep seeing online comments about how Mike used autotune for the backing vocals, I would just like to point out the fact that autotune was not invented at that point (autotune was invented in 1997 while Liberian Girl was released in 1989). It's just layers and layers of Mike singing really nice and on pitch, remember those days? I do 🥹
Also can't wait to watch the movie at the premiere, who's with me? 🍿

This is the best part of Liberian Girl by far for me.
Everything is coming together in such a powerful and grand way 💚
MJ's more gritty rock vocals, his amazing (and not tuned!!!) harmonies, the ad libs that he's very well known for. Such an epic ending.. I just love it!

To say that Michael Jackson kick-started my passion for music is an understatement. Him with Slash and with EVH got me my first taste of rock music when I was growing up. 😢
And who can forget that solo on Beat It, am I right?
