A new settlement map from the upcoming fantasy campaign setting The Dragonwilds by Spellsword LLC.

This time: Bren village, a grim little settlement surrounded by wilderness, created in my hand-drawn black & white isometric style for the project’s Gazetteer.

Back to the basics. 🖋️ There’s something incredibly meditative about watching the coastline of Central America take shape under a liner. Every peninsula and island adds to the story. Mixing real-world geography with a touch of that hand-drawn fantasy aesthetic. 🌎✨

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on Wizards, Warriors & You – Book 1: The Forest of Twisted Dreams by R. L. Stine for a long time, and I’m really happy I finally did. This is the UK cover edition, with artwork by Josh Kirby, and it’s fantastic, but I have to admit I still prefer the US cover, probably because of the title design… but hey, you can’t win them all 🙂

The cover art still immediately caught my attention, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The interior illustrations are also beautiful and quite varied, which I really enjoyed. My only small complaint is that I wish it were a bit larger in format and length, as it feels like there could have been even more to explore.

Still, a great addition to the collection 👌
