While roses are steeping, herbs are drying, and the garden keeps rewriting my carefully planned schedule...

Roses seem to find their way into everything I make: oils, tinctures, jams, and all sorts of herbal experiments.

Rose is one of my favourite ingredients. She is the queen of flowers, a symbol of femininity and love, filled to the brim with fragrant, skin-loving goodness that nourishes both body and soul.

Over the years, roses have found their way into rose soap, rose-infused pálinka, cherry jam, a facial serum (Light & Lush), an aromatic elixir (Flower Power), a bath & massage oil (Royal Rose), a hair conditioner and hair mask (Shine On)... and now into something new:

A lightweight, fast-absorbing skin-renewing body lotion crafted with synergistic botanical ingredients to nourish, soothe, and support the skin throughout the long summer days.

I've been reaching for it especially after long hours outdoors: gardening, harvesting, or simply spending a little too much time in the summer sun.

While the garden keeps me busy from sunrise to sunset, this is one of the things I've been reaching for most often lately.

With roses finding their way into oils, tinctures, jams, and all sorts of herbal experiments, it feels only fitting to introduce another rose-inspired herbalist product:

Some things seem to belong to a season. For me, NAKED BLOOM has become part of this summer 🌞.

I love my boss 💚 Even though there won’t be any vacation this year.

But then again, who needs one when there’s finally SPACE, QUIET, and FREEDOM... 😌

I’ll rest in winter. Market events postponed. Product photography and the webshop project have been pushed back to November... Those things can wait. Right now, nature, summer, and the garden are calling the shots.

✅ Acacia blossoms collected, dried, and preserved in cherry jam
✅ Countless fragrant roses are already soaking in palinka, carrot oil, cherry jam, and more...
✅ Bronzing sun oil, waterproof sunscreen with SPF, rose-and-h**p skin-regenerating paw balm, firming gourmet body butter, herbalist perfume, and various healing potions have all been restocked (by the waaay: order forms in the comments)

And although a bit late, this weekend:

➡️ the seedlings will finally be planted into the deep-mulch beds
➡️ I’ll sow the beautiful burgundy-eyed and pink-husked corn I acquired from Virágoskút Nursery & Organic Farm 🙏 (so I’ll have husks for weaving)
➡️ I’ll sow the dye-plant seeds as well (and pray hopefully that something actually grows from them—the seeds are quite old...)
➡️ and hopefully I’ll still have time to gather green walnuts... and maybe, just maybe, finally set up my outdoor textile-dyeing workshop too...


🍒 As for cherries, I’m practically picking, pitting, cooking, and baking them even in my dreams... The dark burgundy variety is already ripe, but there will also be a crisp orange-yellow variety, and the peaches, apricots, plums, apples, pears, quinces, raspberries, and currants are all looking very promising. It seems this summer will be spent in full-on “pick-it-before-it’s-gone” mode 😁.

🍒 If anyone would like CHERRIES, let me know! Naturally, they are completely unsprayed. In the ekoMoka permaculture-regenerative garden, we use neither dormant sprays nor copper sulfate. We do not till or disturb the soil. We mow in strips, prune trees only minimally (if absolutely necessary, but preferably not at all), mulch with chemical-free straw, and strive to create a natural ecological balance. Lacewings, ladybugs, ground beetles, lizards, bats, birds, moles, and hedgehogs are the guardians of the garden.

You’re welcome to come just to taste, and in fact, I’ll even share a few biiig secrets ☺️. There are so many edible “weeds” and flowers all around us—we just have to reach out for them. They’re free, no need to water or plant them… they’re hardy, resilient—and packed with micronutrients.

Real ! It’s worth learning to recognize them. Honestly… one of the best decisions of my life was studying phytotherapy & plant identification 🧙.

We cannot, even with the greatest goodwill, call refined oils “natural”… 🫣

➡️ Because refining is a CHEMICAL-INTENSIVE PROCESS, during which the oil is treated in multiple stages—causing direct environmental impact as well…

➡️ USE OF HEXANE: To extract the oil, a petrochemical solvent—hexane—is often used. It is a volatile organic compound, and any leakage contributes to air pollution.

➡️ Alkaline treatment and bleaching: Free fatty acids are removed by caustic soda washing, and the color is corrected using bleaching earth—both of which generate significant amounts of industrial wastewater and solid waste.

➡️ And let’s not forget: the raw materials themselves are typically produced through CHEMICAL-INTENSIVE AGRICULTURE, which leads to soil depletion—not to mention the poor quality of the final product…

You can sugarcoat it, dress it up… but the truth is: refined oils have no place in a “natural” cosmetic (or in any “natural” product).


🧐 Or am I being too strict? Well, everyone can decide for themselves… What is absolutely certain, though, is that EkoMoka products do not contain even traces of refined oils—let alone palm oil. In fact, I work with organic/Demeter-certified ingredients, and source as much as possible from local organic farmers 😊


My soaps:
✅ are made using the cold process method,
✅ from scratch, using unrefined organic fats,
✅ with my own macerates and herbs from my garden/wild flora,
✅ enriched with organic essential oils and colored with plant-based dyes,
✅ cured for a minimum of 1 month (usually more),
✅ contain 5–8% “superfat” (unsaponified, skin-nourishing oils)

I’m not claiming they’re cheap—but considering the quality of the ingredients (ORGANIC, even DEMETER-certified, homegrown/foraged/processed herbs) and the work involved (I don’t use a “ready-made soap base”—I make REAL HANDCRAFTED SOAP), I believe they are fairly priced.
