2016 - back in our very first year

✨ We had music, theatre, art, food, dancing, and the beautiful chaos of people coming together

Looking at this poster today feels like opening a time capsule.
So much has changed in 10 years… ❤️

Thank you to everyone who was part of the journey from the very beginning.

Om la Lună last night in Lokal.

Ten years ago, when we opened Lokal, we dreamed of creating more than just a pub.

For a while, we also had a little shop corner filled with things we loved: handmade soaps and natural cosmetics, zero-waste accessories, teas, syrups, jams, zacuscă, cold-pressed oils, and products made with care by local people.

It didn’t last very long, but looking back, we realize how much heart we had put into every little shelf and every product we chose.

As we celebrate 10 years of Lokal, these photos remind us not only of what worked, but also of all the ideas, experiments, and beautiful attempts that shaped who we became. ❤️

This little rocking horse wasn’t just decoration. One night, a guest looked at it and said something we never forgot:

“LOKAL could be LÓ and CAL… horse in both Hungarian and Romanian”

A place where languages meet, where people connect, where stories are shared 🪇
