Kaze Sound System

Kaze came across Ioana who supported his work extensively and they began working together as a team to cultivate the movement. After a few years of playing at the Kaze Pub, Kaze wanted to reach a larger audience, and at the same time the following organically grew and the people wanted larger-scale events. Having advanced wide-ranging carpentry skills and the large influence from experiencing the sound system culture, Kaze went on to build the Kaze Sound System in 2011. This opened the doors for a new voyage; enabling him to play in various venues and festivals from small to large sizes. Being one of the first original handmade sound systems to exclusively promote Roots, Reggae and Dub music in Romania, this attracted people from various cities across Romania and the neighboring countries to experience the newly build sound system concept. Holding firm the Reggae sound system tradition, Kaze plays absolutely vinyl format on his sound system with no compromising to the digital era. Kaze plays regularly on his sound system, as well as DJ sets and features, all across Romania. Additional to using his extensive carpentry skills to build the complete sound system himself, Kaze is also heavily involved in the administration of self-promoting and organising of numerous events in and outside Iasi, including events from his own bar to outdoors in the nature. Kaze travelled worldwide to attend Reggae events across the globe to experience major sounds like Jah Shaka, Channel One, Aba Shanti and many more. Kaze also encountered various younger and more new/upcoming singers and producers that have developed their unique sound and music. Experiencing the sound system culture and vibes outside Romania inspired and motivated Kaze to continue the long journey to educate and spread the peaceful and loving message of Reggae music to the public.
