2026 — A great two days in Rotterdam

The Pepas Cloud team has just wrapped up an inspiring two days at StocExpo 2026 in Rotterdam, one of the most important global events for the tank storage and terminal operations industry.

Together with our partner OpenTAS, we had the opportunity to showcase how modern cloud technologies and data platforms can support the digital transformation of terminal operations.

During the event, Pepas Cloud presented two sessions at booth G20:
Data-driven Digital Transformation and Operational Efficiency
We demonstrated how Power BI reporting and connected data platforms can help terminal operators monitor sustainability indicators, analyze operational performance, and make more informed decisions.

Digital Inspection for Railcars
We introduced the Power Apps railcar handheld solution developed for OpenTAS, enabling field teams to perform digital inspections, capture operational data, and automate documentation directly from mobile devices.

Digital Inspection for Railcars — presented at 2026

Today at 2026, Pepas Cloud presented a Power Apps–based railcar inspection solution developed for OpenTAS, designed to digitalize and streamline inspection workflows across terminal operations.

As the Microsoft Solution Partner of OpenTAS, Pepas Cloud supports the development of modern, cloud-based tools that extend terminal management capabilities with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

The Railcar Handheld App, built with Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Power Automate, enables terminal operators to move from manual processes to a fully digital inspection workflow directly on handheld devices.

With modern handheld capabilities, terminal teams can:
🔵 Work offline in restricted or low-connectivity environments
🔵 Use device features such as camera, QR code scanning, and image capture to document operational activities
🔵 Record inspections, damages, or operational events directly from the field
🔵 Support hands-free or assisted workflows through technologies such as voice control or biometric authentication
🔵 Extend mobile processes easily as new operational requirements emerge

By bringing inspection workflows into a cloud-native application, terminals can reduce manual errors, improve compliance, and ensure that safety and operational procedures are consistently executed.

Together with OpenTAS, we are working to bring modern digital tools to terminal environments, helping operators improve efficiency, safety, and operational transparency across the oil & gas supply chain.

Intelligent Reporting for Sustainable Terminal Operations

At StocExpo 2026, we had the opportunity to present how data and analytics can support more efficient and sustainable terminal operations.

Together with OpenTAS, Pepas Cloud demonstrated how Power BI reporting helps transform complex operational and environmental data into clear, actionable insights for terminal operators.

Through interactive dashboards, we showed how terminals can integrate multiple data sources to monitor and analyze key sustainability indicators such as energy consumption, carbon emissions, and operational efficiency in real time.

One of the examples presented was the “Journey to Net Zero” report, a dashboard designed to help terminal operators track sustainability metrics, analyze performance across terminals, and evaluate how different operational strategies can accelerate their path toward reducing carbon emissions.

By combining OpenTAS terminal management capabilities with Pepas Cloud expertise in Power BI, terminal operators gain the visibility needed to make informed decisions that improve both operational performance and environmental sustainability.
