🤍 Today we celebrate the International Day of the Romanian Blouse, known in Romania as the “IA” - a timeless symbol of beauty, craftsmanship and cultural identity.

Celebrated on „Sânziene”, one of Romania’s most beloved midsummer traditions, this day brings together folklore and cultural heritage in a unique celebration of Romanian identity.

Worn and cherished for generations, the “IA” tells stories through its intricate patterns, each stitch preserving traditions, memories and a rich cultural heritage passed down over centuries.

On this special day, we invite you to discover „Pânze, freamăt și șoapte" (‘Canvas, Murmur and Whispers’), an exhibition dedicated to the traditional blouse of Transylvania, hosted by the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania and open until 31 July 2026.
