Lateral is joining Făget Winter Trail again, and we’d love to see you there (7 Feb)!

We’ve been close to this event for several years, and it’s been amazing to watch it grow from 500 runners to over 800. It’s one of those races that keeps getting bigger because it’s simply that good: fresh air, great vibes, and a community that shows up.

Curiosity and exploration shape who we are at Lateral.

So lovely to see how a simple idea sparked connection: ask people to bring something small from their trips, be it a shell, a pebble, a pressed flower, and suddenly the office wall becomes something more. Our colleagues jumped in! Not only did they bring objects, but also stories, tips, and moments.

Lateral Travel Memories Map was born in July 2025. It all started with a boring office wall…and an inspired designer (Mircea Dragoi).

A new wave of over 20 talented interns selected in close collaboration with , , , and the joined our teams in Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș, and Oradea.

In , our AI Academy is focused on real-world machine learning projects alongside our experienced mentors.

In and , our .NET programs focus on clean coding and architecture, and building production-ready systems.

Here’s what one of our interns spontaneously shared after the first week: “I really appreciate the structure of the short daily meetings, which give us a chance to ask questions and clarify things. It’s also great that the mentors take our working pace into account before moving on to the next week’s lesson.”

After 14 days of walking, running, biking, and just plain moving — we wrapped the first round of Lateral’s challenge in true Lateral fashion: with over 100 participants and a few smiling winners carrying home a Millet backpack.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up, moved more, and proved once again that we’re better when we push each other forward.

It’s not just about steps or speed — it’s about motion, intention, health, and joy.
