You quoted a job on Tuesday. The customer said "I need to check with my spouse and get back to you."

You wrote their name on a sticky note.

It's now Friday. The note is buried under three invoices. The customer booked someone else on Wednesday.

Nobody followed up. Not because anyone was lazy. Because active jobs always beat background tasks. Every single time.

That's what happens when a growing field service business is still running on memory and sticky notes instead of systems.

An automated follow-up sequence doesn't care how busy Tuesday was. It sends the text Wednesday morning anyway. Tries a call that afternoon. Logs the outcome either way.

93% of field service companies have already implemented AI. Only 33% are hitting their ROI targets.

Think about that for a second.

Nearly every company in this industry has taken the first step. Most of them are not seeing results. Not because AI does not work. Because they skipped the hard part before buying the software.

Knowing which workflows to automate. Knowing whether your data is clean enough to act on. Knowing where the real operational drag actually lives in your business.

AI rewards preparation. Swipe to see what that looks like in the numbers.

Speed wins jobs in contracting.

67% of lost bids come down to response time, not price. When quoting, scheduling, and contacts live in separate tools, every handoff slows you down.
Worth thinking about if your team is still juggling multiple systems.

Most field service scheduling problems come down to one thing: the dispatcher does not have the full picture when the decision needs to be made.

Not because they are not good at their job. Because the information is incomplete, delayed, or stored in someone else's head.
AI dispatch software does not change who makes the decision. It changes what they are working from.

This carousel covers the four variables the system evaluates every time a job comes in, and why the data behind them matters as much as the technology itself.

Bad partnership engagements don't fail at delivery.
They fail at the proposal stage when the right questions weren't asked and the wrong signals were ignored.

A polished deck isn't evidence of capability. A confident timeline isn't evidence of honesty. A low quote isn't evidence of value.

These 3 questions cut through all of it. Save this for the next time you're evaluating a dev partner. And if you want the full picture, read our full guide here πŸ”—https://techquarter.io/blog/outsource-software-development-partner-guide-2026/.

The proposal arrives fast. The price is competitive. The timeline sounds ambitious but doable. Every concern you raise gets a confident answer. You sign feeling like you made a smart decision.

Six months later, you're having a different kind of conversation.
The frustrating part isn't that the signs weren't there it's that they were there from the beginning, dressed up as green lights.

The field service management market is projected to hit $9.68B by 2030. The companies driving that growth aren't all enterprise-sized. They're mid-market contractors and regional operators who got tired of running complex operations on software that wasn't built for them.

This carousel covers what the right operational infrastructure actually includes. Five capabilities, plainly explained.

This past weekend, we were happy to help and attend BattleLab Robotica.

Students from around the country gathered to compete with robots they built themselves, in a fun sumo-style format. You could tell how much work went into each one. From the carefully welded frames to the thoughtfully programmed movement strategies, every robot reflected hours of planning, testing, and refining.

Watching the students talk about their builds made it clear how deeply invested they were, not just in winning, but in the process of getting there.

These kinds of competitions are a great way for engineering students to get out of theory and actually see their ideas perform in the real world.
