I am a freelance photographer based in Bucharest. I work locally or overseas on various assignments, from documenting festivals to street photography.
Serban Mestecaneanu was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1969. His work is primarily involved with cultural projects, documentary and portraiture. Serban is often invited to photograph classical music festivals all over the world including in his native Romania, all parts of Europe, and beyond. Many of his works are shown in the black & white spectrum, while he is also known for his rich contrasting color images. Serban has worked as a professional photographer since 2008 and has had exhibitions in Romania and around the world. Serban Mestecaneanu has had five books of his photographs to date. În 2011 începeam să fotografiez în timpul festivalului TIFF de la Cluj, actori, regizori, scenografi, directori de imagine etc, în hotelul Continental, părăsit și decrepit dar paradis fotografic.
Azi, după 15 ani, mă bucur foarte mult că pot să fac acest anunț prin care vă invit joi 18 iunie la ora 17:00, la Muzeul de Artă din Cluj, la vernisajul expoziției acestui proiect, expoziție intitulată “Continental 25”.
De-a lungul acestor ani am fotografiat 380 de personalități din industria filmului romanesc și din străinătate, iar în această expoziție veți putea vedea 500 de fotografii. Vă aștept cu drag!
PS: Atașez două cadre, Tudor Giurgiu în timpul conferinței de presa TIFF în care anunță expoziția și căruia îi mulțumesc și pe această cale pentru susținere și un cadru cu Geoffrey Rush din expoziție 🙂
