Ne pregatim pentru Air Cargo Challenge 2019 Stuttgart

Rezultattul de anul acest nu a fost cel asteptat, doar locul 25. Cateva balbaieli, inerente din cauza emotiilor, au dus la penalizari ce puteau fi evitate: doua preluari pe manual pilot care nu erau necesare, o interventie a indrumatorului, depasirea timpului maxim de zbor cu aproape 1,5 min. Nici prezentarea (FRR) nu s-a ridicat la nivelul cerintelor (asa se intampla cand o faci in ultima noapte 🙁). Si raportul tehnic a fost mediocru, lipsindu-i unele parti cerute, in special cele referitoare la teste, care nu s-au putut face pana in preziua plecarii la concurs. In general, echipa si-a dat silinta cat a putut, printre alte obilgatii de serviciu si de la facultate, dar nu s-a putut ridica la nivelul asteptarilor, din lipsa entuziasmului necesar unui astfel de concurs. Daca ar fi dovedit acelasi entuziasm ca pentru pescuit, poate rezultatul ar fi fost altul ...
Poate vom avea mai mult succes cu o noua echipa, anul viitor...

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition (AUVSI SUAS) Competition is designed to foster interest in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), stimulate interest in UAS technologies and careers, and to engage students in a challenging UAS mission. The competition requires students to design, integrate, report on, and demonstrate a UAS capable of autonomous flight and navigation, remote sensing via onboard payload sensors, and ex*****on of a specific set of tasks. The competition has been held annually since 2002.

The competition is held at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station (NAS) Webster Field in St. Mary's County, Maryland. This is the site of the UAS Test & Evaluation Directorate.
