I received this from my dad 🤍
There is an old Portuguese prayer that says:

“And what do you wish the coming year to bring you?
Nothing. I don’t want it to bring me anything.
The only thing I wish is that it takes nothing away.
That it does not take the roof that shelters me,
the plate that feeds me,
the blanket that keeps me warm,
the light that guides me,
the smiles of my loved ones,
health, as a true treasure,
work as a means of living,
friendship, companionship,
hugs and kisses.
That it does not take away my dreams,
nor the pieces of my heart,
made of people,
that I carry within me.”

Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected.

I used to love being in front of the camera — posing, smiling, capturing me. Now, without even thinking about it, my phone is filled with photos of our children instead. Their faces, their moments, their little worlds. And somehow, that feels so much more meaningful.

A photo of me posing, often seems empty and pointless, unless they are also in it — or maybe standing behind the camera, watching me with those eyes that turn everything into love.

What motherhood gave me is far greater than perfect angles or polished images.
It gave me a love so pure that, in their eyes, I am already enough.

For them, right now, I am beautiful.
I am special.
I am amazing — just the way I am.

Just hoping to be able to give back even a fraction of what they have already given me in this life

Upside Down Magic — Why Headstands Can Be Great for Kids

Did you know that going upside down isn’t just fun — it’s also incredibly beneficial for children’s development?

When introduced gradually and practiced safely, headstands can help children:
• Boost concentration and focus
• Strengthen core muscles, shoulders, and arms
• Improve balance and body awareness
• Support emotional regulation and stress relief
• Build confidence and a sense of courage

At YogaPlay, we explore inverted postures through mindful movement and playful curiosity — always with guidance, support, and age-appropriate modifications.

Important note: We recommend exploring headstand preparations and supported variations only from around age 7 or 8, when children’s neck and shoulder muscles are more developed, and only under close supervision. The full posture should be introduced progressively and never rushed.

It’s not about perfect poses. It’s about helping children see the world from a new perspective — safely and joyfully.

Yoga Superstars in Action

What a powerful sight — kids glowing in Star Pose right on the school plaza! But this isn’t just a playful moment captured on camera — it’s a glimpse into the future of education, one that nurtures not only minds, but hearts and bodies too.

Bringing yoga into schools has real, proven benefits:

• It improves focus and learning readiness
(Harvard Medical School highlights how mindfulness and movement practices like yoga enhance concentration and cognitive control.)

• It supports mental and emotional well-being (A Tulane University study showed that students who participated in school-based yoga programs had lower levels of stress and better emotional regulation.)

• It builds confidence, balance, and a deep sense of connection. Just look at these young stars — grounded, centered, and full of light.

Around the world, more and more countries are embracing yoga in schools. In India, it’s part of the national curriculum. Schools in the UK, USA, Australia, and even Dubai have adopted yoga and mindfulness to support student well-being, focus, and emotional health. The movement is global — and growing.

Let’s keep supporting spaces where children can breathe, move and shine together!

YogaPlay Easter Egg Hunt – A Treasure of Teamwork & Focus

We had multiple joyful Easter Egg Hunts at YogaPlay this year — each one a celebration of collaboration, focus, and shared excitement!

Every giggle, every “I found one!”, and every helping hand showed how powerful teamwork can be — even in the most playful moments.

Through this simple yet meaningful activity, the children practiced:
• Patience and observation
• Collaboration and communication
• And the joy of being fully present in the moment

So lucky to have this kind of magic as part of my job!

Wishing you all a Happy Easter, beautiful holidays, and a peaceful school break!

Partner Poses = Connection, Laughter & a Whole Lot of Fun!

In kids’ yoga, partner poses are always a hit — and it’s easy to see why!
They build strength, boost confidence, and make children feel like little circus acrobats!

There’s something magical about balancing, lifting, and stretching together — and the sense of pride when they accomplish a pose as a team is simply amazing.

Beyond the fun, partner yoga teaches:
— Trust & cooperation
— Clear communication
— Body awareness & empathy
— Problem-solving & resilience

It’s not just movement — it’s connection, growth, and joy shared between two little yogis.

Together, we rise. Together, we shine.

Yoga Quests: More Than Just a Game

Yoga games like quests aren’t just about movement and fun — they quietly teach some of life’s most important skills.

They help children build focus, improve listening, and grow more aware — of themselves and of others. One child might be the fastest runner, another has a sharp eye for detail, while someone else is a master at solving clues. Everyone brings something unique.

But one of the hardest lessons? Teamwork and patience. Waiting your turn. Slowing down for others. Trusting the group. Realizing that being a great teammate matters more than being the fastest. These are big skills — and they take time to grow.

In one of our favorite quests, the kids had to find 10 hidden yoga cards scattered across the school. Each time a card was discovered, they paused to do the pose together — stretching, balancing, breathing, laughing.

At the end, they came together in a magic yoga circle, connecting as a team, calm and present. And waiting for them? A well-earned cookie treasure, unlocked through movement, teamwork, and joy.

They ended by reflecting: Who helped keep the group together? Who showed patience? Who noticed the clues others missed? Who made the magic happen?

Through play, they learn a big lesson: we’re all different, and that’s what makes us valuable. There’s no single way to “win” — just a hundred ways to shine.
