Bucharest Food Week kicked off strong so we answer here a few quick Qs:
• crêpes suzette tuesday is still on, after 6pm as usual
• the rest of the menu is available too, not only the festival offer
• our portions are pretty generous so ofcourse you can take home leftovers
• yes, the 69 lei menu is available for take away also

woke up a few times last night but all through it I had dreams about this Bucharest Food Week 🫪 don't remember anything so first thing in the morning I was reading about the history of restaurants. ofcourse the Chinese were the first ones to figure it out but the French gave us the name: "restaurant" meaning "restoring" or "replenishing", food served to restore population's strength, medicinal broths and such (smash btw).

the boom happened in the late 1700s, after the French Revolution, when many aristocratic households lost their private chefs. these guys obviously opened their own businesses serving the public.

these are times that are more rapidly than ever in history changing everything we knew, including the way restaurants work. don't take anything for granted, enjoy everything you really enjoy and always have people's best interest in mind with any change you make. at least that's my mantra.

amazing how those years of kindergarten, school and university bring up the emotional turmoil of early September even after 15 years of being done with it. I was talking to a friend these days about how getting new stationary when we were little would've been the one thing to make a new school year better, but our parents couldn't afford it every year. Imma buy a tiny silly thing today with my adult money, wish you the same!
