Nissan Y60 Typhoon. Built and designed by Taifun Engineering. For sale: 1 year of anyone's life who wants to build a proper car 🙂

We all know what it means to build your racing car. How long it takes (minimum one year) and how much money you have to put in. I'm selling the car I've been working on for four years now. This effort is reflected in the weight: maximum 1450 kg guaranteed, with winch, wheels, etc. etc. (without fuel and crew). Technical data: Nissan Y60 chassis with documents (Romanian registration) , car has legal license number plates.
Chassis has been sandblasted, epoxy painted. (cost 5000 eur for the base car) Distance between axles 2670 (longer wheelbase by 280 mm). Y60 live axles, OEM rear blocker, ARB front. (cost 2500 for axles and locker). ARB air compressor. The rear is 4-link triangulated, with rubber bushings at one end and Japanese uni-balls at the other. All tubes used on the car is CrMo (including rear traction arms, sills, etc. Cost for CrMo tubes is 1200 eur). All the sheet metal parts are Acad engineered and laser cut. All welding is the highest quality TIG welding. The whole rear car's body , including rear fenders (fiber glass), inner fenders (aluminum), Boeing 737 floor (honeycomb, real aircraft floor part, with serial numbers on it 🙂 ), aluminum structure with purpose designed spaces for tool kit, spare oils, etc. weighs 27 kg. 95 liter aluminum tank. Boeing tank filler neck. 6 mm aluminum tank shield. (tank cost etc 1300 eur) Rear shock absorbers are Sway-a-way Race Runner full rebuild, separate reservoirs, 2.5" diameter. (cost 1000 eur) (whoever buys it will receive a bonus suspension adjustment from me). Bmw M57 engine with software for 300 hp and 650 Nm (3800 eur), bi-disc racing clutch (it's not made "for some guys", it's AP - cost 1400 eur). BMW 6-speed manual gearbox. M57 to Nissan chassis custom engine mounts are also produced by us (can be bought on request for 550 eur). Y60 transfer case. Balanced front and rear prop shafts. Labor hours well over 500. Racing seat belts, 3" width, 6 points. Two sets of rims (the aluminum ones are sandblasted and painted white, electrostatic, like new). Warn 9500 winch that can pull both to the front and to the rear.
The braking system is using quality racing parts - not China. The calipers are fully reconditioned, all seals etc are new.
To complete the car, it needs the following: simplified engine electronics - (the whole standards electronics comes with the car, ECU, sensors, contact, key), general electrical installation , pilot/copilot floors (I didn't do it because I was oscillating between making it out of steel or aluminum sheet metal). Front fenders, engine hood, fiber doors are not included in this price but can be provided as well. Rear fenders are included in the price.

The price is 15,000 EUR neto. It is not negotiable at all, please understand 🙂. Whoever comes with the first 15k EUR gets a year of work saved and a professionally built car. Thank you for your patience 😉😅

NAVIGATION & ROADBOOK

In the Legends Class, navigation is not based on a traditional roadbook. This is not due to any limitation in producing one, but rather a deliberate choice to make the event accessible to a wide range of competitors — from highly experienced off-road drivers to younger teams who are passionate about the sport but have no prior roadbook experience.

The route itself is designed to be challenging, varied, and engaging, offering plenty of driving and navigation tasks without the need for a conventional roadbook.

Navigation will be carried out using a Garmin device with a preloaded track, provided by the organizers. In addition, each vehicle will be equipped with an IRIS Mini NAV GPS, a professional motorsport navigation system widely used in cross-country rallies.

The IRIS system supports teams with compass heading (CAP), waypoint validation, speed monitoring and speed limits, danger warnings, and other essential navigation features.
