Frame My Wed

As wedding photographers we often tend to focus our energy on the bride, we follow her journey from getting her make-up and hair done to walking down the aisle. We can easily get caught in her beauty and forget about the groom for a second.

I try as much as I can to focus on both sides. Sadly, I’ve noticed that one side often gets neglected. I like to take some portraits with the couple, as well as a few solo shots with the groom. We tend to get lost in the bigger picture and sometimes it helps to remind ourselves that both parts are equally as important and they should be portrayed as such.

Believe it or not, grooms actually enjoy being photographed. ✨

I think that nowadays being transparent is so important, especially since we tend to portray things in a curated manner and we value aesthetics more than anything.

In my line of work, beyond overcoming creative challenges, I feel that we need to show some signs of vulnerability. In fact, I think it’s the only way we can establish genuine human connections. 🙌

If I were to define my style, I would say that I’ve always been drawn to natural elements, soft colors and earthy tones, to a certain organic feel and plenty of natural light. 💛

I’ve been thinking of different ways to engage people through the use of composition.

Whether it’s color, contrast, light or subject placement, I think that it’s a challenge to bend some rules of composition, while still trying to establish and maintain a coherent style.
