Sometimes you have the privilege of seeing up close just how much heart someone puts into what they do.

To me, Giulia is, first and foremost, the person by my side. But I also get to see the depth, empathy and genuine care she brings to her work as a psychotherapist — and how much of herself she puts into helping others.

I was so happy to see her story and perspective featured in an interview for the Oricum project, and even happier that we got to be together at its launch.

I’m proud of you, Giulia — of what you do, but even more of the way you do it. ❤️

Apparently, Romania is debating butter vs. margarine. 🥐😅

I work in tech and industrial automation, so naturally, I looked at this debate a little differently:

When did “engineered” become a bad word?

We tend to romanticize the traditional and distrust the engineered.

Handmade = authentic.
Automated = artificial.
Natural = good.
Industrial = bad.

But in my world, we engineer and automate processes precisely to make them more consistent, efficient, scalable and predictable.

That doesn’t mean automation is always better than craftsmanship.

A robot isn’t inherently better than a person.
A production line isn’t inherently better than an artisan.
And margarine isn’t inherently better than butter.

Different tools. Different jobs.

Sometimes craftsmanship is the feature.
Sometimes engineering is the feature.

Sometimes you want the croissant. 🥐

Choose what fits the problem, not the hype.

A great week at NY Tech Week.

What I enjoyed most wasn’t just the events, but the people behind them—founders, operators, and investors from across the world, all working toward the same goal: building something meaningful.

I had the chance to meet entrepreneurs from the Czech Republic, France, Sweden and many other countries, as well as founders who have already established a strong presence in the US market and successfully raised significant funding rounds. Companies like Apify are a great example of what can happen when ambition meets ex*****on. Glad to have met people like Catalin Epure doing a great job with Endeavor, helping startups grow strong 💪🏻

One thing became very clear: the US remains a unique place for those willing to think big, move fast, and compete globally.

I feel inspired, with new ideas, new connections, and a stronger conviction that great companies can be built from anywhere.

Who knows… maybe one of the things we’re building will be spinned off at some point on the US market. 🇺🇸🚀

On May 20th, IT Genetics will begin trading on the Bursa de Valori Bucuresti / Bucharest Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ITG.

This is an important milestone for us — and one we have dreamed about for many years.
Nineteen years ago, we started this business from scratch with a lot of enthusiasm, curiosity, and the desire to build something meaningful for the long term. We were only 18 years old at the time. It has not been an easy journey, but it has been one built with patience, perseverance, and extraordinary people by our side.

Over the past few years, we have managed to double our business, expand internationally, and develop new directions in automation, robotics, and AI.
For us, becoming a listed company marks the beginning of a new chapter — one about maturity, transparency, and the ambition to build a Romanian technology group with relevance at a European level 🇪🇺.

I would like to thank our colleagues, partners, clients, and everyone who has believed in us throughout this journey. Nothing valuable is ever built without great people around you.

Many of you know that I am passionate about chess and that I founded Chess Kings .kings.club — a chess club for entrepreneurs and leaders.
