After almost three months (although we had planned to finish in a month), we concluded last night, November 18, 2025, the training course intended for Roma civic leaders and civil servants in Galati County, a course that began on August 28, 2025.

The initiative closely followed the in-depth study on the protection of human rights, with a focus on those belonging to the Roma minority.

Thus, the training sessions followed the approach of different human rights protection systems, of a universal, regional and domestic nature, namely the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the European Union, as well as the Romanian legal framework, regarding the prevention and sanctioning of all forms of discrimination, respectively the prevention and sanctioning of domestic violence. Each course session was accompanied by real cases, but also by exercises to help the students fix the specific concepts.

Last night, at the last session, we had as a special guest the master Bob Bogdan Radulescu, from Cluj-Napoca, an actor, a public figure, but also a great influencer, who sent the students a strong message of empowerment of members of local Roma communities, especially since the latter work directly at the community level, being able to promote such messages, especially to young Roma and not only.

I want to thank my fellow students for their dedication to the subject of "human rights", actively contributing to the learning process.

I thank my colleague, Dr. Liliana Ene, for the support provided during the implementation of the course.

In particular, I would like to thank the master Bob Bogdan Radulescu, for having accepted from the first discussion, unconditionally, to participate, as a volunteer, in our course, during its course having, as usual, that spark of genius.

I repeat that the entire course was a voluntary action of our organization.

With the best regards,

Madalin Morteanu
President

This evening we continued the training session of the course on the protection of human rights, intended for Roma leaders and civil servants from Galati County.

The session focused on discussions on the principle of respecting human dignity, but also on what the state authority means in the field of discrimination, the guarantor of respecting and applying the principle of non-discrimination, as regulated in the specific legal framework, on preventing and combating all forms of discrimination.

Subsequently, the trainees received information on a brief history of the founding and evolution of the European Union, but also on its decision-making institutions, updated until November 2025.

On Friday we will focus our attention, in particular, on what the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) means, but also on the functioning mechanisms of the European Court of Human Rights.

We remind you that this training course is a voluntary action of the organization Center for Legal Studies and Human Rights.
