In 1991, a few Law students from Bucharest had a dream, a dream of bringing the ELSA Spirit into to the newly established democracy of Romania. Now, 35 years later, we celebrate their foundational work and the contributions that each generation has since brought into the development of ELSA Romania!

🏵️ On the 31st of July, we welcome Alumni, members and friends of ELSA Romania to cherish all of the accomplishments and mark this important milestone through a well deserved, cocktail-attire, anniversary Event.

The first National ROLE Training Conference organised by ELSA Romania took place between 5–8 March in Sibiu! 🏞️

The program combined both theoretical and practical components through two days of trainings and workshops and one day of mock sessions, enabling participants to develop facilitation skills, simulate the school environment, foster a structured community around ROLE, and further consolidate the project within ELSA Romania.

The support received was not provided directly by the European Youth Foundation or the Council of Europe, but was channelled through a sub-granting system managed by ELSA International, which enabled the implementation of the National Project. We are grateful for this support and excited to further promote the values of the Rule of Law in schools! 💚

📌 ELSA Romania launches the ROLE Programme 2026 and is looking for motivated ELSA members to join and become ROLE Facilitators!

As a Facilitator, you will work with high school students and discuss essential legal topics, helping them better understand their rights and society around them. No previous teaching experience is required, only motivation and an interest in legal education.

The ROLE Facilitation Weekend will take place between 5 and 8 March 2026. Applications are open until 1 February 2026 through this link:
