For nearly two decades, he served as a Hotel Manager, leading with calm authority, precision, and a deep sense of responsibility. His teams knew they could rely on him in every situation — whether navigating challenges, supporting colleagues, or ensuring that every guest felt the signature hospitality.
And for the past eight years, Alin has been shining in his new career pathway as Cruise Director. With his warm presence, natural charisma, and organizational skills, he creates unforgettable experiences for every guest and sets the tone for smooth, joyful journeys along Europe’s beautiful rivers.

“In 2010, I stepped onto a cruise ship for the very first time — completely unaware that this moment would shape not just my career, but who I would become as a professional. What began as an exciting unknown soon became the foundation of my career, my discipline, and my professional identity.
From my earliest roles on board, every single day brought something new: challenges that drove me, opportunities that inspired me, and lessons that helped me evolve both personally and professionally. Life on a ship is a world of its own — one where adaptability, communication, and attention to detail aren’t just skills, but essential values. And these values have guided me every step of the way.
Today, I am proudly working as a Purser, a role that blends leadership, administrative precision, and a genuine focus on people. It’s a position that requires coordination, responsibility, and a clear vision of the operations behind a successful cruise. For me, it represents the sum of all the years of dedication, hard work, and the constant desire to grow.
I’m deeply grateful for the path I’ve walked so far and that I was able to do this withing the Amadeus family.

Cristian has spent more than 12 years growing, learning, laughing and steadily building his career within the same company — a journey that truly reflects the spirit of river cruising.
From his very first days as a Waiter, to Night watch, to Receptionist, to Purser, and now over two years as a dedicated Hotel Manager, Cristian has built his career step by step, with heart, discipline, and an unwavering love for life on board. Today, he proudly leads the hotel team on the AMADEUS Queen, sailing the Rhine and the Danube — and he says it feels just like home.
Cristian’s favourite city is Vienna, the place where his cruising adventure began many years ago. Between then and now, he has travelled across countless countries, learned from every challenge, and inspired colleagues with his genuine leadership and kindness. He’s the kind of manager who lifts others up, helps them grow their confidence, and encourages them to reach their full potential. And when he’s not supporting his team or delighting guests, you’ll find him doing sports in whichever beautiful city the ship is visiting that day.
We are incredibly proud to have Cristian with us — for his loyalty, his professionalism, and the joy he brings to every season on board.

There’s something special about being the steady point of contact during the night. Working independently, staying alert, and being ready for anything that may arise is a responsibility she mentioned she carries with pride.
What Roxana loves most is being right at the heart of the action whenever something happens and she truly enjoys being helpful, no matter the circumstances.
