I started working on the Absence collection more than two years ago, when important parts of my life began to disappear — and I felt powerless to hold on to them. The emptiness that followed was overwhelming at first.
These rings tell the story of that empty space — the one left behind by the absence of someone or something we love. The circle holds it: quiet, open, unfinished.

⚜️The gold plated wires that create bridges on the blackened silver circle are the Unexpected Ways of life.

Sometimes you reach a dead end and it seems that everything is falling apart... But most of the time, this is for the better.

You have to remain open, to be able to adapt and when life throws your way a new road that you didn't even think about, embrace it. That's when you will discover that the blockage you encountered actually makes sense. The interrupted circle now closes, but not in the way you've expected. The Joy Within was born from a simple belief: joy isn't something we wait for — it's something we already hold. We spend so much time looking outward, but joy lives inside us, quiet and patient, waiting to be noticed.

What first drew me to these stones was their color — the way natural rubies shift between soft pink and deep red, no two quite the same. Cut as round cabochons, smooth and gently domed, they catch the light with a playful, cheerful glow that feels almost alive. There's something inherently joyful about their shape — round, soft, unguarded — like little sparks of happiness rather than sharp, formal gems.

The rubies set into this ring are more than stones. They are a symbol — small, glowing reserves of joy, embedded in silver the way real joy is embedded in us: not always visible, but always present. Each ruby catches the light differently, just as joy shows up differently in each of us — in a quiet morning, a shared laugh, a moment of stillness.
