If you're in Bucharest for , this is worth your afternoon. On June 13, Assamblage — Contemporary Jewelry School .school opens its studio doors as part of the BDF GO! circuit. For 16 years, this is where new generations of jewelry designers have learned to work with metal, stone, and unconventional materials. What's on:
- 13:00–14:30 — Live demo workshop: stone cutting - cabochon
- 14:30–15:00 — Guided school tour
- 15:30–17:00 — Live demo workshop: chasing & repoussé
- 17:00–17:30 — Guided school tour
There's also a sales exhibition featuring graduates of the school, now working as residents in the Assamblage co-working space. Participation for all activities is free.

Yesterday was the official opening of 23rd edition of the The Decorative Arts Salon at ✨ For the first time ever, this edition featured a dedicated section for contemporary jewelry 💎 At the invitation of curators Cosmin Nasui and Georgiana Cozma, and curated a selection of .school students. Congratulations to all of them:

"The artist’s first relationship began with stone. The oldest known artifacts are beads made of bone and stone. This is how it all started. Jewelry has always been essential to Homo sapiens. Today, our relationship with jewelry carries an incredible depth and significance. Jewelry is, in my view, an imperative and a necessity rather than a luxury. The new perspective on jewelry through artist-cut stones expands creative freedom and artistic thinking. Romanian Jewelry Week introduces Growing Gems, a new section dedicated to artists and brands exploring stone cutting as a central creative and conceptual practice. From traditional techniques to experimental approaches, this open call welcomes diverse perspectives on working with precious, semi-precious, and alternative stones.
Open to individual designers, collectives, and students worldwide.
