NATO Force Integration Unit Romania

Today we hosted a delegation from NRDC-Greece led by Brigadier General (ESP A) Alfonso CASTILLA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, to strengthen liaison and interoperability.
The visit focused on enhancing NATO Deterrence and Defense on the Alliance’s Eastern flank through closer planning and efficient cooperation.

Today, NFIU Romania had the pleasure of once again welcoming students from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta - a visit that has become a valued tradition over the years.

Our Commander, LTC Denis-Florin SANDU, briefed the group on NFIU Romania’s mission and role within NATO, while LTC Erin Humelsine shared her perspective as a U.S. officer serving in Romania. The students showed great interest and asked thoughtful questions throughout both presentations.

A strong exchange of ideas, curiosity, insight, and a great opportunity to connect the next generation with NATO’s mission on the Eastern Flank.

Today, NFIU ROU welcomed a logistics delegation from the French Land Command Europe to our HQ in Bucharest.
Led by COL Patrice Cudennec, the visit focused on streamlining logistics coordination and deepening the cooperation between French forces and NFIU ROU.
Direct engagement like this ensures we remain agile, integrated, and ready to support NATO's mission in the region.
