Pianist Lucian Stancu was born in Bucharest on September 4, 2000, in a family that loves beautiful music, value and especially classical music and Jazz&Soul music. With a tradition of musicians for over 200 years, his grandfather Mircea Zaharescu, being a violin teacher at the music high school in Pitesti, his
great-grandparents Mișu Palade and T**i Niculescu, world-class concert violin soloists, well known in the national and international artistic world, in classical and variety music. His uncle Tudy Zaharescu (the famous drum soloist and instrumentalist) is a member of the Big Bandu-lui Radio and of the Union of Interpretative Creation of Musicians in Romania (UCMR), producer and protagonist of the only videotape with drum lessons, suggestively entitled "The Power of Rhythm" (1996). Nominated in 1994, 1995 for musician of the year, and in 2015 declared "man of the day", and the band led by Tudy Zaharescu, rated as the most valuable band in the country, by Radio Romania Cultural. As such in Lucian Stancu's adene flows music at the highest level for decades, spiritual things that determined him and so he approached the piano, the instrument he loves from the heart. Lucian Stancu is currently the only one in the family who has the "duty" to carry on the family tradition. A beautiful but also "heavy" burden, having on his shoulders the reputation of a family that belonged and still belongs to the Romanian musical elite. At the age of 7, Lucian Stancu began studying classical piano at the National College of Music "George Enescu" in Bucharest, from 1st to 12th grade under the guidance of the renowned professor, university lecturer, doctor, Constantin Nițu and in particular with the renowned teacher, lecturer, Roxana Mihalcea. At the same time, he was guided in England by the teacher, composer, concert pianist, Geraldo Sierchio, participating in the international piano competition in Windsor (United Kingdom) where he won the Grand Prize and a scholarship for the musical academy. After graduating from the National College of Music "George Enescu", he was admitted to the National University of Music in Bucharest - Faculty of Music Performance - Principal Piano, until today. He won national and international prizes, school Olympiads, played on the stages of "George Enescu" Philharmonic - Romanian Athenaeum, "George Enescu" Festival, finalist - Instrumental Olympiad - where he won the first prize at the country stage, "George Georgescu" International Music Performance Competition - where he won the first I, Brincovenesc Palace, Cantacuzino Palace, Suțu Palace, "George Enescu" Hall at the Conservatory of Music in Bucharest, Dales Hall, "Mihai Eminescu" National Culture Day Festival, Radio Hall and recitals in London, Warsaw. He has been invited to TV shows. "Leșe's Road" in 2017 on TVR 2 National Television of Romania and in 2023 on Radio Il Rione Italia. He has collaborated with the Remember Enescu cultural foundation in the projects: in the footsteps of George Enescu, George Enescu Festival, Cultural Season of the Roman Athenaeum. Currently from 2022, he collaborates with the Cultural Association Tudy Zaharescu Jazz&Soul Music, within the project "Minunea Exista", with Tudy Zaharescu, Marius Vernescu, Emil Bizga, Cătălin Răsvan, Jan Stoian, Ana Mardare, Mihai Sebastian, Stefano Priori, project in progress.
