🥳🎉🇳🇱 Happy Bus News For FOUR Incredible Little Sweethearts! 🥳🎉🇳🇱
One-way golden ticket 🎫 trip to the Netherlands! 🇳🇱 🚌💨🏡🥳💕
For this very Happy Bus, we have our fabulous friends Lyanne Ausema & Mariëlle Hartlief to thank, along with their magnificent organisation, Pawsitive Story. 🥰
We cannot thank you enough for helping these four lovelies find a place to be forever loved & cherished. Your love & ongoing support means the world. 🫶✨️
So, let's wave off our four lucky travellers... 🥰
🩵 Luna 🩵
With eyes as blue as the ocean, our stunning husky girl Luna was spotted by some friends who immediately got her to safety whilst awaiting our arrival.
When Laura & Bobo arrived, they were excited to discover she had a chip, & they dreamed of a happy reunion. With hope in their hearts, the vet called her owners, only to discover she wasn't wanted. 💔
You can revisit her rescue post here:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CVEP9DxVF/
Luna was so lovingly sponsored by Yvonne van Hierden, who so kindly allowed her to keep her beautiful name. 🥰🫶✨️
❤️ Ruby ❤️
Our wonderful friend Alexandru Barbu came across 10 vulnerable dogs abandoned in a lay-by, mostly puppies.
He worked incredibly hard to find placements for every one of them, & his life-saving efforts meant that each dog was safely taken in by a rescue. 🌟
We had the space to help one, & so sweet Ruby came to us.
You can revisit her rescue post here:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18BFRUNFFo/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Ruby was so generously named & sponsored by Julie Bigwood. 🥰🫶✨️
☀️ Summer ☀️
Laura & Bobo found sweet little Summer abandoned outside a supermarket. She was too young young & vulnerable to be left there alone.
She was smelly from a hard time on the streets, looked to have a tummy full of worms, & had some skin issues - but she was finally safe.
You can revisit her rescue post here:
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1VRZE37Xyh/
Summer was so kindly named & sponsored by Katie Hawkins. 🥰🫶✨️🌞
💓 Lo**ta 💓
Another beautiful puppy abandoned on the streets & left to her fate.
Luckily for this beautiful girl, she was spotted by the fabulous Irina Elena Hâriabu, who immediately welcomed her into the safety of her home. When we learnt about Lo**ta, we were more than happy to help. ✨️🌟
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1JVcrYygC1/
Lo**ta was so kindly named, sponsored, & initially fostered by the fabulous Irina. 🥰🫶✨️
And now, four beautiful abandoned girlies have safely boarded the happiest bus of their lives, where, at the other end of their journey, they are soooo wanted. 🥹💕🏡
It truly fills the cup. 🥰
Whilst Laura & Bobo love to share the shelter with each & every one of them, it isn’t the same as a home.
The objective is always to get them home. 🏡
🌟 Heartfelt Thanks 🌟
To the lovely people on the ground in Romania, who never turn away & put their hearts & souls into helping these lost souls: we cannot thank you enough. You are true superstars. 🤩
To everyone here who supports us in whichever capacity you can - thank you for being by our side. 🫶
Thank you to everyone who donates to support our work - sponsors, glow-up pampers, spays, neuters, rent, tummy fills, veterinary care, £1 Thursday donors, regular donors, & those helping with general donations. Every penny truly does help, & we honestly cannot thank you all enough for your love & support. 🥰🫶✨️
And to the magical team at Pawsitive story: thank you so much for all your hard work & effort in helping these beauties go home. Thank you to your fabulous supporters, & to the wonderful people who have opened their hearts & homes to these beautiful souls. 😘🫶💓🌹
Every single person in the chain is vital, & we appreciate every single one of you. 💕
Now let's sit back & enjoy this beautiful video, feeling that wonderful warmth that only a Happy Bus can bring. 🤗🥰
"See you later, sweethearts!" 👋😘🚌💨🇳🇱

And it’s only Tuesday … 🙃
Behind every soul is a story, a journey that brought them to us, a moment where they needed someone to care and a future still waiting to be written.
These are just a few glimpses of the last 48 hours: the urgent calls, the quiet moments, the challenges and the hope that keeps us going ❤️
27/09/2026
THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO DON’T JUST SUPPORT WHAT WE DO
THEY HELP US KEEP GOING ❤️
When you spend time in rescue, you quickly realise that treating the consequences is only part of the battle.
The real change comes from prevention.
Every unwanted litter prevented means fewer puppies born into uncertainty. Fewer dogs growing up on the streets. Fewer animals facing hunger, neglect, illness and a life where nobody has the resources to help them.
That is why spaying has always been such an important part of what we do.
And today, we want to say a HUGE and very special THANK YOU to June Selway ❤️
June has chosen to stand behind our spaying mission and help us reach dogs in the very rural area where OHANA PAWS clinic is based.
June’s support may look like a donation on paper, but what it actually represents is so much more.
It represents prevention.
It represents lives that will be different because an unwanted litter will never happen.
It represents puppies who will never have to experience the suffering that comes with being born into an already overwhelmed community.
And it represents hope for the dogs who are already here, giving them a better chance at a safer, healthier future.
June, we cannot thank you enough for believing in what we are constantly trying to achieve 🙏🏼
Your kindness is helping us get to the heart of the problem rather than simply trying to keep up with its consequences.
And that is something incredibly special.
A huge thank you also to Spatariu Oana and Sandra Cozma at OHANA PAWS for continuing to work alongside us and make these campaigns possible ❤️
If you would like to sponsor a spay, have a mini spay campaign in your name, or contribute towards our Ambulance Project Fund, please get in touch 🚑🙏🏼
We desperately need more people to join us in reaching the villages and communities where help is limited.
Because one spay can prevent a litter.
One litter can prevent countless lives of suffering.
And one person can help start that change.
Thank you, June. ❤️
Thank you for helping us prevent suffering before it begins.
And thank you to every single person who believes that sometimes the greatest rescue is the life we never have to save. ❤️

UPDATE ON MR BLIPPI ❤️🩹
This boy amazes us. His strength and determination to recover have exceeded every expectation we had at the beginning of this journey. For one, we didn’t know if saving both of his broken legs was even possible..
His cone is off, his legs can finally breathe too, he is gently using his legs and taking everything in his stride. Enjoying cuddles, cosy blankets, treats and his teddy bear 🧸
He is remarkably calm and so far, managing his recovery incredibly well.
We still don’t know what his final costs will be, or whether his recovery will continue to be this straightforward but for now, we are allowing ourselves to feel hopeful 🙏🏼
To every single person who donated towards Mr Blippi’s care, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave us the chance to fight for him, enabling him to heal and have a future.
We hope that if there are any funds remaining once his treatment is complete, that you will be happy for us to carry that kindness forward to the next soul who desperately needs our help 🙏🏼❤️
I’m not sure for how much longer she would have survived 💔
Today I was driving through a village where there are many dogs, but one little girl caught my eye that bit more.
From a distance, I could see a very small dog who was completely disoriented, running in and out of the road, with no sense of where she was going. She didn’t move like a dog who knew this place or was simply going about her day.
Then I saw how painfully thin she was and as I got closer, I could see there was something wrong with her eyes. It wasn’t until I was beside her that I realised she is missing one eye, and the other looks so badly damaged that I’m not sure how much she can see at all.
Whichever direction I went, she ran. She was terrified.
Eventually, I managed to guide her behind a rose bush, where she seemed to feel a little more protected and safe. With some patience, I was finally able to get her out and into the crate.
By this time numerous people had come out to see what I was doing but nobody knew where she had appeared from..
At the vets we saw just what a young girl she is. And, heartbreakingly, she has tested positive for parvo and so has now been admitted for treatment.
She is so, so tiny, desperately thin, completely overrun with fleas and suffering with her eyes.
We don’t yet know the cause for the cloudy eye, there are a few possibles and we’ll investigate further 💔
She is receiving the help she so desperately needs, and for the first time, someone is fighting for her.
*Update* Kindly sponsored by Carolyn Furber and named Mitzi 🫶
What she needs now is a name please ❤️
Would someone kind enough to sponsor her and give her a name? A one-off donation of £30 will help towards her initial costs for her tests.
Please keep this little one in your thoughts. Let this be the beginning of her new and beautiful life 🙏🏼
When Bobo spotted her from the car, he immediately recognised her.
The night before, a few posts had been made about her and shared across local pages.
What was unusual was that she was wearing a collar, along with a fleece neck scarf wrapped around her waist. You could easily have believed she belonged to someone and had somehow escaped.
She was disoriented, and with rush hour fast approaching, Bobo pulled over without hesitation and scooped her up ❤️
Word is, that just two days earlier, she had been rescued from the streets and taken to be spayed, with the intention of being adopted.
Allegedly, she then killed a chicken, and suddenly she was no longer wanted. Somehow, she found herself back out on the streets 😢
We will never know the real story but what we do know is that she is an absolute sweetheart, a goofy, playful girl with a beautiful nature.
And yes… I can absolutely imagine her getting a little enthusiastic and playing with a chicken! She’s a big pup! Just under a year old.
We are going to do everything we can to find her a home worthy of her.
But first, she needs a name! 🐾
So, is there someone kind enough to sponsor her with a one-off donation of £30 and have the honour of naming this gorgeous girl?
**UPDATE** Kindly sponsored by Sara Borras and named Missy ❤️
If you'd like to give her a name and help give her a fresh start, please comment below- fastest finger first ❤️

💔 An update on our beautiful Leona
We’ve been putting on a brave face since getting Leona’s CT results, unfortunately, the news isn’t what we had hoped for.
The CT confirmed a large mass within Leona’s liver, measuring approximately 7.5 x 10 x 13cm. It is deeply embedded within the liver tissue, has a strong blood supply and is already putting pressure on the surrounding area.
There are also some enlarged lymph nodes nearby. These could mean the disease has started to spread, but they could also simply be her body reacting to the tumour. The vets cannot say for certain without further investigation.
There is also a small area of concern in one of her lungs. Thankfully, this is thought to be more likely to be an unrelated chronic change, but it cannot be completely ruled out, so it will need to be monitored.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve had some hard conversations with our vets, specialists here and oncology specialists, even then being referred to others. We’ve discussed the options for Leona.
Surgery is technically an option, but the more we have learned, the more complicated and risky that option becomes.
Leona’s age in itself makes a major operation much higher risk but the biggest concern is the tumour itself, its size, its location deep within the liver and the fact that it has such a strong blood supply. Removing it would be a very significant surgery, and even if Leona made it safely through the operation, there is no guarantee that the entire tumour could be removed.
The enlarged lymph nodes would need to be removed too and still removing all of this wouldn't necessarily mean that all of the cancer had been removed.
There would also be the recovery from such a major operation, the possibility of complications and the need for further CT scans and ongoing monitoring.
We’ve asked the specialists about the chances of a successful outcome, but unfortunately, there simply isn't a percentage they can give us that would make this decision straightforward. There are too many unknowns, and the risks are significant. Some of the vets didn’t have confidence at all to proceed.
And this is the part that is breaking our hearts.
We desperately want to do everything we can for Leona. Of course we do but we also have to think about what is right for Leona, rather than simply what we desperately want for her.
At her age, putting her through such a major and risky surgery for an uncertain outcome is something we don’t feel is fair.
The costs would be huge but please don't think for one second that this decision comes down to money.
You continually show us time and time again what incredible supporters you are.
When we asked for help with Leona's investigations and CT scan, you stood behind her and helped us get the answers we needed ❤️
This isn't about whether we can raise the money.
It's about everything the specialists have told us, the risks involved, the uncertainty of being able to remove the tumour completely, and most importantly, what putting Leona through all of this could mean for her.
Perhaps there is another question we need to be asking ourselves now...
Should our focus be on finding Leona a loving home where she can enjoy whatever time she has left.
Because as much as she is loved and cared for with us, a kennel is still a kennel. It isn't a home. Winter is coming.
Could her remaining time be spent curled up on a sofa, with someone who adores her, a cosy bed, a garden to potter around in and a family who can give her all the one-to-one love and attention she deserves? ❤️
That thought is both incredibly painful and incredibly important to us.
Perhaps giving her the chance to simply be someone's beloved dog, rather than spending her time undergoing procedures and recovering in a kennel, is the greatest gift we could give her after all.
We don't know exactly what the next chapter looks like.. But we do know one thing Leona deserves to be loved, comfortable and happy for every moment she has. We’re doing our best.
I’m so sorry it’s not the outcome we had hoped for, or the journey we believed we would be taking once we’d received the results… it really is so very upsetting…
We’ve waited long enough to update you as we tried to gather our thoughts and I apologise.
Thank you for standing beside her, for helping us get her this far, and for caring about this beautiful girl as much as we do ❤️
So the wonderful home we wish for her… are you out there? 🙏🏼 The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France 🙏🏼
🥳🎉🇳🇱 Happy Bus News For SEVEN Incredible Little Angels 🥳🎉🇳🇱

💕 Mummy Peggy & her little girl Sarah 💕
Laura & Bobo were recently contacted by someone who asked if we could help these two beautiful little souls. They had wandered into her relative's yard, where they were seemingly being taken care of. However, our friend visited & found that one puppy had disappeared & the other was suffering from mange.
Of course, we stepped in to help.

🩵 Ozzy 🩵
Our lovely friend & vet Oana found Ozzy when she returned to an area in the forest popular for dog abandonment. He was found suffering with Demodex. Ozzy has been a very lucky puppy indeed, as he was so kindly fostered by Oana & has grown up around Oana's daughter, other dogs & cats. 🥰💕🐾🫶

💞 Cleo & Naomi 💞
Cleo & Naomi were both found as small puppies over a year ago. Their fosters so desperately wanted them to find fabulous homes, & so they came to us so we could help to fulfil that very wish. 🙏🫶🪄✨️
🌟 Heartfelt Thanks 🌟
As well as Annette & her fantastic team at Stichting Pootjes Roemenië & the wonderful families these beautiful dogs have gone to, we'd also like to thank... YOU. 🥰💕🐾
To everyone who supports our work through general donations, sponsorships, spays/neuters, glow-up pampers, covering veterinary bills, rent & tummies - & just for being here. THANK YOU.
We are able to continue with our rescue mission because of the love & support of our magnificent Sadies family. 🫶 You're incredible, each & every one of you. 🥰💕🐾💞
Now, let's wave 👋 them off & wish them the happiest of lives! 🏡🫶🐾🇳🇱
There he was, all alone, crossing a busy road in the city, wandering around, having a good sniff and completely unaware of just how dangerous the situation was.
Cars going closely past him.
One after another, people simply drove on, I couldn’t.
A lap of the roundabout with my hazards on, hoping he would cross back over to somewhere safer. But he didn’t.
I didn’t want to frighten him or chase him. I just wanted him to come to me.
He wasn’t running away, but he wasn’t particularly interested in me either.
Until he spotted the treats 😂
And then… the treats won 🙌🏼
We checked him for a microchip and got him to the vets for routine tests.
He’s only around 2 years old, no microchip, not neutered, covered in fleas.
We will never know his whole story.
Perhaps he was abandoned. Perhaps he was simply never cared for properly in the first place. Whatever happened, somehow this beautiful little boy ended up alone on a busy road, with nobody apparently looking for him days on..
But thankfully, he isn’t invisible anymore ❤️
Back at the shelter, he has shown us a completely different side of himself.
He absolutely adores attention.
He wants cuddles. He wants affection. He wants to be close to people. And he is such a clever, loving little character.
It’s hard to believe that just days ago he was wandering amongst traffic, completely alone.
Now he is safe and loved.
And now he needs a name please..
**Update** Kindly sponsored by Sally-Anne Strutton and named Chip 🫶
We would love to find someone kind enough to make a one-off £30 donation to sponsor his name. You could choose the name that will stay with him as he starts this next chapter of his life.
We’re also looking for another kind person to help towards his neuter costs, with a one-off donation of £30.
**Update** Neutering kindly covered by Catherine Squirrely 🫶
Your help means care, it means safety.
It means another step towards the life he deserves.
Who would like to give him his name? ❤️
And who would like to help us get him neutered and ready for his next chapter?
After being ignored by so many people on that busy road, we want to make sure this little boy knows he matters, because he does ❤️
❤️🩹 MR BLIPPI ❤️🩹- The road to recovery begins.
I’m sure so many of you are wondering how our big boy is doing, so here is his update 🙏🏼
Our kind, lovely and brave boy… yesterday Mr Blippi had the surgery he so desperately needed on both of his broken legs. Our vet said eveything went to plan 🙏🏼
Honestly… how stoic can one soul be? 🥹
Because today, despite everything, he is wagging his tail…
We’ve just picked him up from the clinic and are getting him settled back at the shelter. Now the long road to recovery begins, exercises, treatment, check-ups along the way. It won’t be quick, but we’ll take it one day at a time.
And then there’s YOU ❤️
To every single person who donated for Mr Blippi, I truly don’t know how to THANK YOU enough.
You saw him, you saw this broken, vulnerable boy and you didn’t look away.
You said, “Yes, I want to help Mr Blippi”
And because you said yes, we could say yes to giving him everything that he needs.
We could give him the chance he deserved. We could get him the care he needed and today, bring him back to start his recovery knowing that his bills can be covered.
His costs will still add up, and there is a long way to go, but we can face what comes next because you stood beside him.
Every donation, every share, every message of support, we appreciate it all and it’s helped get our brave boy to where he is today.
I wish you could see him, talk to him and gently stroke him, to see that tail wagging, after everything.
It’s Mr Blippi saying thank you in the way he can 🥹
So from all of us, and especially from our very special boy…
Thank you for seeing him. Thank you for helping him, thank you for giving him his chance.
Now, Mr Blippi… rest, recover, and keep wagging that tail..
We’ve got you, brave boy ❤️
