SPP NANO - the smallest Train-O-Matic stayalive.

This stayalive is perfect for TT, N and Z gauge models and small H0/OO gauge models. It connects to practically any decoder. It can also easily be soldered to the Hornby HM7000.

The small supercaps give about 6-7 seconds with a sound equipped model, but the time you get depends on the current the model uses.

Train-O-Matic announces a new product for 2022: Function Decoders. Train-O-Matic announces price increase

Train-O-matic is committed to deliver high quality model train electronics with moderate prices keeping its own R&D and production in Europe. The worldwide pandemic status impacted the electronic components manufacturing process, especially semiconductor components such as microprocessors and transistors. The overall availability of electronic components dropped and consequently the components prices went up to ridiculous high prices for some of them. While we were absorbing the increased cost ourselves for a while, during which time our purchase department together with R&D put humongous efforts into finding components that are still available on the market with the correct price, it is now sadly necessary to raise our prices.

Effective from today, our sales price have been increased with an average of +8%. Please check with your dealer for the current prices on our still attractively priced products.

Train-O-Matic has released current contacts, aka power pick-ups, for those N gauge fans who want to add lighting to their rolling stock, but who’s models do not have contacts to take the power from the track. A choice of ten different stainless steel contacts in a pack of ten are available, to fit with a variety of brands. For those who would like to try the different designs on their models, a pack of 20, which contains a pair of each pick-up, is also available.

We are happy to announced a little, but very important new product: a MOTOR FILTER for improved DCC performance.

When converting an analog locomotive to digital (using a decoder), the manufacturer installed capacitors must be removed, because they will affect the decoder functionality. This concerns mostly the BEMF (Back ElectoMotive Force) reading. The Train-O-Matic motor filter will clean the noise between the motor and decoder and improve the communication between decoder and motor for a smoother ride.

We believe every model train with DCC decoder should have a motor filter, for a more enjoyable experience when running our model trains. Being able to make products like this is why we love what we do.

As Facebook moderator of this Train-O-Matic page, I am not hired by the company. I do this, because I am impressed with the passion of the people and their drive to make the best products and give the best support. I point this out, as this week Train-O-Matic went way past the mark of the support you normally would hope for.
A German customer contacted me, as he had an issue with his decoder, a 6 pin decoder with a 90 degree angle. He needed such a decoder with the pins in the opposite direction. I contacted the support team of Train-O-Matic and they immediately made a custom decoder for this customer. This was directly sent to the customer and only 3 days after his initial contact with me, the customer received the new decoder already. Talking about suprise and delight! Not only the customer is impressed, so am I. Again.
