“What to do if the Qatar ID is lost in your native place”

Ministry of Interior (MOI) conducted a First Safety and Security Awareness Seminar for Community and school leaders and Embassy Representatives for the year 2019 on Wednesday, 2/1/2019. The seminar included awareness on various topics of Qatar Immigration, drugs, Al-Fazza and Civil Defense. The interaction section between MOI officials and the representatives proved to be informative and has helped to overcome the ignorance of the expatriate community.
Here, I would like to highlight one point that was discussed, which will be very useful for the expatriate community who face such situation, as it had happened in the past too, i.e. “What is to be done if an expatriate lose his Qatar ID while on vacation in his native place?” As we all know, Passport and ID are the most valued documents for an expatriate who works abroad and if he loses his ID and has no way to regain it, then it becomes difficult to go back to Qatar. In order to make it easy for such expatriate, MOI has introduced an easy solution that can be applied on such situation, the steps of which are as follows:

1. Raise a complaint of losing a Qatar ID in the police station within the jurisdiction that the ID was lost in your native place. After which, the complainant should keep a copy of First Information Report (FIR) which is signed and stamped from the police station.

2. Then the expatriate should log in to his ‘Metrash 2’ then click on ‘Leave notification’ and should to ‘Return Permit’. From the dropdown list of operation type choose ‘lost ID’ submit by paying the fine of QR. 200/- or which is applicable by MOI. After which, he will receive an email from MOI along with the approval to re-enter in Qatar, that can be shown to the concerned authority in the airport.

3. Upon arrival in Qatar, either the expatriate himself or the company representative (for company employees) shall approach immigration authority to get the replacement for the lost Qatar ID.

O2 ജനുവരി 2019 ഖത്തർ മിനിസ്റ്ററി ഓഫ് ഇൻറീരിയറിന്റെ പബ്ലിക് റിലേഷൻസ് ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് വിദേശ എംബസി പ്രതിനിധികൾക്കും, കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ലീഡേഴ്സിനും വേണ്ടി ഖത്തറിലെ ഇമിഗ്രേഷൻ, ഡ്രഗ്സ്, അൽ ഫസ,സിവിൽ ഡിഫൻസ് എന്നീ വകുപ്പുകളിലെ നിയമ- നടപടിക്രമങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് സെമിനാർ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. വളരെ ഉപകാരപ്രദവും പ്രവാസി സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അജ്ഞത ഇല്ലാതാക്കാനും ഈ ക്ലാസിലൂടെ ഒരു പരിധി വരെ സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രവാസി സമൂഹത്തിന് ഉപകാരപ്പെട്ടേക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു വിഷയത്തിന്റെ നിയമ നടപടി ക്രമം ഇവിടെ കുറിക്കുന്നു. ജന്മനാട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് ഖത്തർ തിരിച്ചറിയൽ കാർഡ് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടാൽ എന്താണ് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്?
ഒരു പ്രവാസിയുടെ വിലപ്പെട്ട യാത്രാരേഖയായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് പാസ് പോർട്ടും ഖത്തർ തിരിച്ചറിയൽ കാർഡും ആകുന്നു. ഏതെങ്കിലും സന്ദർഭവശാൽ ID കാർഡ് നാട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് തിരിച്ച ലഭിക്കാനാകാത്ത വിധം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയാണെങ്കിൽ ആ പ്രവാസിയുടെ ഖത്തറിലേക്കുള്ള തിരിച്ച് വരവ് വളരെ ദുഷ്കരമാകും. ഈ പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിന് MOI ഒരു പുതിയ മേഖല കൂടി പ്രവാസികൾക്കായി തുറന്ന് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

1. ഖത്തർ ID കാർഡ് നാട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് കാണുന്ന പക്ഷം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അധികാര പരിധിയിലുള്ള പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ID നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് കാണിച്ച് പരാതി നൽകുക. തുടർന്ന് എഫ്.ഐ.ആർ (ഫസ്റ്റ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ) സ്റ്റാമ്പും, ഒപ്പും അടങ്ങിയ FIR കോപ്പി സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്നും വാങ്ങി കൈവശം വെയ്ക്കുക.

2. ID നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട പ്രവാസിയുടെ പേരിലുള്ള മെട്രാഷ് 2 ലോഗിൻ ചെയ്ത് " ലീവ് നോട്ടിഫിക്കേഷൻ" - റിട്ടേൺ പെർമിറ്റ്- ലോസ്റ്റ് ഐഡി- ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി നിലവിൽ QR 200/- or അതിനു യുക്തമായ ഫീസ് അടച്ചതിനു ശേഷം സബ്മിറ്റ് ചെയ്യുക. തുടർന്ന് മട്രാഷിൽ നിന്നും ഇ മെയിലിൽ ലഭിക്കുന്ന Resident Return Permit (RRP) ന്റെ പ്രിന്റ് എടുത്ത് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഇന്ത്യയിലേയും ഖത്തറിലേയും ഇമിഗ്രേഷൻ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ കാണിച്ച് യാത്ര ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്.

3. ഖത്തറിൽ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നതിനു ശേഷം കമ്പനി ജോലിക്കാരാണെങ്കിൽ PRO മുഖാന്തിരമോ, മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് നേരിട്ടോ ഖത്തർ ഇമിഗ്രേഷൻ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ സമീപിച്ച് ID നേടിയെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്‌.
