Hi Qatar Fur Parents,
Having a pet is a serious responsibility. They are not your childβs toy - they are your baby too. They are family. You provide them with food, shelter, love, and PROTECTION. THAT PROTECTION INCLUDES TAKING PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES IN CASE THEY GET LOST. Donβt make it difficult for someone to help reunite you - hereβs what you need to do:
1. GET A PET TAG
Make sure your pet wears a tag with your name and contact number. This is the easiest and fastest way to reunite lost pets with their owners. Iβve personally reunited dogs with their families simply by calling the number on the tag. Itβs affordable online and available in many local pet shops, and it truly makes a difference.
2. MICROCHIP YOUR PET
Microchipping in Qatar typically costs around QR 100β150 at veterinary clinics and includes the chip, insertion, and sometimes initial registration. While cheaper options exist online, make sure the chip is ISO-compliant (FDX-B 134.2kHz) so it meets international standards, especially for travel.
3. REGISTER THE MICROCHIP β YOU NEED YOUR MICROCHIP NUMBER
Once your pet is microchipped, itβs essential to register the chip number in a database like Pet Safe Qatar https://petsafeqatar.com/register.php (FREE OF CHARGE). This ensures that if your pet is found and scanned, your contact details are accessible, and you can be reached immediately. β PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WRITE THE CORRECT MICROCHIP NUMBER.
4. INSTALL PET OR CHILD SAFETY DOORS
Adding pet or child safety doors can help prevent your pets from accidentally running outside, especially in busy households or high-traffic areas.
Letβs be responsible pet parents. A little effort goes a long way in keeping our furry family members safe.

France has relaxed some European import regulations to allow owners to return from the middle eastern countries with their pets amidst the ongoing conflict with Iran.
βDOGS AND CATS ARE ALLOWED INTO FRANCE EVEN IF THEY DONβT MEET ALL EUROPEAN IMPORT HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.
