افتتاح معرض | جيران البحر: وفيقة سلطان العيسى وحسن الملا | 5 يونيو 2024

يسرنا دعوتكم للاحتفال برائدين من رواد الحركة التشكيلية في قطر الفنانة وفيقة سلطان العيسى والفنان حسن الملا واللذان يقدمان أكثر من ٣٠ لوحة فنية في معرض جيران البحر.

أنجز الفنانين جزءاً من هذه الأعمال خلال فترة إقامتهم في مطافئ في برنامج الإقامة الفنية للرواد (2021-2023).

وفيقة سلطان العيسى فنانة تشكيلية قطرية حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في الفنون التطبيقية من جامعة القاهرة. عرضت أعمالها دولياً في الكويت ولندن وباريس وتونس ومحلياً في متاحف قطر وجاليري المرخية وجاليري الحوش وفندق ذا نيد.

حسن الملا فنان تشكيلي قطري حاصل على درجة البكالوريوس في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة بغداد. عرض أعماله دولياً في قطر والهند والمملكة العربية السعودية وله العديد من المقتنيات في عدد من الوزارات وسفارات قطر بالإضافة إلى متاحف قطر.

The exhibition features more than 30 paintings some of which were created by the artists during their residency at the Fire Station Ruwad in Residence programme (2021-2023).

يسرنا دعوتكم لتجربة “مشهد أثيري” وهو عمل تركيبي غامر للفنانين د. الخزامى الحرمي وغيوم روسيري!

يتعمق هذا العمل التعاوني في التفاعل بين الطبيعة والمجتمع الحديث من خلال دمج فن الصورة والصوت وخلق مساحة هادئة ونقية.

د. الخزامى الحرمي هي فنانة ذكاء اصطناعي حاصلة على درجة الدكتوراة في هندسة الكمبيوتر. وهي فنانة مقيمة حالياً في مطافئ (2023-2024).

غيوم روسيري هو فنان صوت فرنسي مقيم في قطر، وقد شارك في برنامج الإقامة الفنية (2018-2019) و برنامج الإقامة الفنية للخريجين (2021) في مطافئ.

We are delighted to invite you to experience Dr.Alkhuzama Alharami & Guillaume Rouseré’ immersive installation “Etheralscape”!

The collaborative work explores the interaction between nature and the modern society through merging sound and visuals creating a peaceful and pure escape.

Dr. Alkhuzama Alharami is an Artificial Intelligence artist with a PHD in computer engineering. She a current artist in residence at the Fire Station (2023-2024).

Guillaume Rouseré is a French sound artist based in Qatar. He was an artist in residence (2018-2019) and an alumni in residence (2021) at the Fire Station.

ستُدير هذه الورشة الفنانة متعددة التخصصات، عائشة العبدالله، المعروفة بقصصها عن الشخصيات الخيالية ونهجها الفريد في دمج كل من السرد الخيالي وبناء العوالم وتصميم الشخصيات. وهي حاليًا فنانة مقيمة في مطافئ (2023-24).

Join us in this workshop to learn how to create your own stained glass-inspired artwork! Over two days, participants will design their piece, master the basics of using a laser cutter, plan their stained-glass color scheme, and explore various applications using glass paint.

This workshop will be led by multidisciplinary artist, Aisha Al-Abdulla, known for her storytelling about
fictional characters and her unique approach to incorporating fantasy narratives, world-building, and character design. She is currently an artist-in-residence at the Fire Station (2023-24)

Note: Participants are required to bring a laptop with Adobe Illustrator or an iPad with Procreate downloaded prior to the workshop.

منيرة البوعينين، مصورة فوتوغرافية تعكس من خلال لقطاتها منظورًا متنوعًالعناصر الحياة، حيث تصور الأشخاص والشوارع والمدن. تقوم بتوثيق حركاتهاالمتغيرة، بدءًا من ساعات الذروة وحتى سكون الليل، وتسليط الضوء عليها بمزيجالجماليات الكلاسيكية والعتيقة أحيانًا المعاصرة. تجمع بين الصور والمقاطعوالأصوات وتنتج في النهاية لمسة سينمائية.

We are delighted to announce Muneera Al-Buainain as our current artist in residence in New York at The International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) from April- June 2024 
 
Muneera Al-Buainain, is a photographer. She reflects through her shots a diverse perspective on life’s elements, capturing people, streets, and cities. She documents her changing movements, starting from peak hours until the stillness of the night, highlighting them with a blend of classic, vintage, and sometimes contemporary aesthetics. She combines images and clips with sounds, ultimately producing a cinematic touch.

‎الجازي النعيمي مهندسة معمارية وفنانة مختصة في النحت والرسم وإنشاء نماذج إلكترونية ثلاثية الأبعاد. تجيد العمل بمواد مختلفة مثل الخشب، والطين، والألياف الزجاجية والألوان لإنجاز أعمالها الفنية. الجازي حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المعمارية من جامعة قطر. وهي حاليا فنانة مقيمة في مطافىء مقر الفنانين 24-2023.

Aljazi AlNaimi is an architect and self-taught artist specializing in sculpture, painting, and creating 3D digital models. She creates her art pieces using a diverse range of materials, including wood, clay, fiberglass, and colors. Aljazi has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Qatar University. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Fire Station (2023-24).

Note: This workshop is open to ladies only, and participants must attend both workshop days.

يسعدنا أن نعلن أن شيخة الخليفي هي الفنانة المقيمة حاليًا في باريس في المدينة الدولية للفنون من يناير إلى أبريل 2024.
شيخة الخليفي فنانة متعددة التخصصات تركز على الرسم التوضيحي بالوسائط التقليدية والبورتريه والكتابة الإبداعية. نظرًا لكونها نشأت في أسرة قطرية أمريكية، فإن تركيزها الحالي ينصب على "الفضاء الثالث" للتهجين الثقافي، وكيف يتأقلم الفرد داخل وخارج منازله، وتأثير الهويات والتجارب الحدية للفضاء الثالث في تراثه الثنائي الثقافي.
حصلت شيخة على درجة البكالوريوس في علم النفس، مع تخصص فرعي في الممارسات الفنية، من جامعة كولورادو في بولدر.

‏We are excited to announce that Sheikha Al-Khulaifi is the current artist in residence in Paris at Cite Internationale des arts From January-April 2024.
‏Shaikha Al-Khulaifi is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on traditional media illustration, portraiture, and creative writing. Being raised in a Qatari- American household, her current focus is on "the third space" of cultural hybridity, where one exists both within and without their homes, and how liminal identities and experiences of the third space manifest in their bi-cultural heritage.
‏She holds a BA in Psychology, with a minor in Art Practices, from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Explore the world of collage with us! Our workshop provides a hands-on experience with materials suitable for all skill levels, combining short introductions with ample opportunities for creative experimentation. Come join us and unlock your artistic potential!

The workshop will be led by Ukrainian artist and designer Oleksandra Umanska whose work is based on narrative and fiction-critical approaches to imagined and existing environments. She practices storytelling art through digital media. She’s exploring the narratives that transcend the boundaries of space and time, inviting us to think about the deep connections between our imagination and the environment that surrounds us. She’s currently an artist in residence at the Fire Station.

Note: Participants should bring either a magazine or a newspaper to use in this workshop.

برنامج الإقامة الفنية (8) | شعاع الكواري

شعاع الكواري فنانة تشكيلية تتضمن أعمالها عناصر تكعيبية تم تفكيكها وإعادة تجميعها معاً. تسلط أعمالها الضوء على الثقافة القطرية حيث تدعو المشاهد إلى العثور على الوجوه في رسوماتها وتخيل القصة وراءها. في عام 2020 قامت برسم جدارية بالتعاون مع متاحف قطر وجداري آرت. عرضت اعمالها في صالات عرض مختلفة في قطر من ضمنها معرض جماعي في صالة ايوان القصار.

Artist in Residence (8) | Shuaa Al Kuwari

Shuaa Al Kuwari is a visual artist whose work features cubist elements that have been broken and put back together. Her work sheds light on the Qatari culture where she invites the viewer to find the faces in her work and imagine the story. She painted a mural in collaboration with Qatar Museums and JEDARIART in 2020. She exhibited her work in different galleries in Qatar including a group exhibition in Eiwan Al Gassar Art Gallery.

برنامج الإقامة الفنية (8) | محمد العمادي

محمد العمادي فنان متعدد التخصصات وقد ابتدأ ممارسة الفن الرقمي في عام 2016 ومن بعده أصبح يمارسه كمهنه في عام 2020. تشكل البيئة المحيطة به وخاصةً المجتمع الذي يعيش فيه مصدر الهام أساسي لأعماله الفنية. شارك في معارض محلية من ضمنها معارض في الحوش جاليري.

Artist in Residence (8) | Mohammed Al Emadi

Mohammed Al Emadi is a multidisciplinary artist who started practicing digital art in 2016 which later developed into a profession in 2020.  Currently, Mohammed is inspired by his surroundings, especially the community he lives in. He has exhibited his works in local galleries such as AlHosh Gallery.

‎الجازي النعيمي مهندسة معمارية وفنانة مختصة في النحت والرسم وإنشاء نماذج إلكترونية ثلاثية الأبعاد. تجيد العمل بمواد مختلفة مثل الخشب، الطين، الألياف الزجاجية والألوان لإنجاز أعمالها الفنية. الجازي حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في العمارة من جامعة قطر.

Aljazi AlNaimi is an architect and self-taught artist specializing in sculpture, painting, and creating 3D digital models. She creates her art pieces using a diverse range of materials, including wood, clay, fiberglass, and colors. Aljazi has a bachelor's degree in architecture from Qatar University.

برنامج الإقامة الفنية (8) | العنود الغامدي

‎العنود الغامدي مصورة أزياء ومخرجة إبداعية سعودية. بدأت رحلتها في التصوير الفوتوغرافي عام 2015 وحضرت دورات في جامعة الفنون بلندن. تركز في عملها على عناصر التكوين والإضاءة واتباع الأسلوب التجريبي. في عام 2021 حصلت على جائزة الشيخ سعود الثاني للصورة الفردية في تصوير (مهرجان قطر للصورة). كما قامت أيضا بتصوير بعض المشاريع لمجلة فوغ العربية لعدد أكتوبر ونوفمبر في عام 2022 من ضمنها صورة لسعادة الشيخة المياسة بنت حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني

Artist in Residence (8) | Alanoud Alghamdi 
 
Al-Anoud AL-Ghamdi is a Saudi Fashion Photographer and Creative Director. She started her photography journey in 2015 and took courses in The University of The Arts London. She focuses on composition and lighting through experimentation. She won Sheikh Saoud Al Thani Single Image Award at the 2021 Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar. She worked with Vogue Arabia and presented a few projects for their October & November issue in 2022 including photographing a portrait of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

This workshop will be led by current artist in residence, Hannah Fakhri. With a passion for conceptual design and publishing, Hannah dedicates her design exploration to world-building and poster design research projects.

برنامج الإقامة الفنية (8) | نورة الحردان

نورة الحردان فنانة قطرية، حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة فيرجينيا كومونويلث كلية فنون التصميم في قطر. تختص نورة في الرسم والطباعة والأعمال التركيبية والتصوير الفوتوغرافي. تتنوع مصادر إلهامها لتشمل الحياة اليومية، والبيئة المحلية المحيطة بها وبالأشياء الثابتة، أو مزيج بينها. تهتم بالتقاط صور للمباني والأماكن المهجورة واماكن محلية ثم تعدل الصور بلمستها الخاصة، وبالتالي تسلط الضوء على الأمور التي يتم تجاهلها.

Artist in Residence (8) | Noora Al Hardan

Noora Al Hardan is a Qatar-based multidisciplinary artist with a BFA from VCUarts Qatar. Noora specializes in paintings, printing, installations, and photography. Her main inspiration ranges from the context of everyday life, the surrounding local environment, still life, or a merge of all. Noora holds an interest in capturing images of architectural, abandoned, and/or local spaces and then altering them with her twist, therefore shedding light on overlooked matters.

الفوضى هي جزء من سمات الطفولة والحياة بشكل عام. فلماذا لا نحتضنها ونقوم بتوجيهها في تجربة ممتعة تساهم في تطوير مسيرة التعلم لدى الطفل؟

انضموا إلينا حيث سيتعلم الأطفال طريقة مزج الألوان من خلال ملاحظة تغيّر الألوان وتحليلها وتحديدها. سوف يختار المشاركون الألوان التي يتعيّن مزجها ثم يقومون باستخدام الفرش أو جزء من أجسادهم للرسم على لوحة قماشية كبيرة.

ستدير الورشة هند العبيدلي، وهي فنانة بورتريه ذاتية التعلم. تهتم هند بدراسة شكل الإنسان وكيف يمكن أن يتحول ويتغير في بيئات مختلفة. شاركت هند في برنامج الإقامة الفنية بمطافئ في 2022-23.

ملاحظة: يجب أن يكون الطفل مصحوبًا بأحد أفراد أسرته أثناء ورشة العمل، مع إحضار ملابس وأحذية ومناشف ومناديل مبللة في حال الحاجة لها.

تأتي هذه الورشة في إطار سلسلة البرامج العامة بالتزامن مع معرض “الحاضر: مستقبل الأمس” بمطافئ: مقر الفنانين.

Mess is a part of childhood and life in general. So why not embrace and channel it into a fun excercise that serves a child’s learning development?

Join us as kids will learn about colour mixing through observing, analysing, and identifying how colours change. Kids shall decide what colours to mix and use brushes or part of their body to paint on a large canvas.
This workshop will be led by Hind Al-Obaidli, a self-taught portrait artist. She is interested in studying the human figure and how it can transform in different environments. She was an artist-in-residence at the Fire Station in 2022-23.
Note: A family member should be present with their child during the workshop. They should bring a change of clothes, shoes, and towels/wipes in case needed.
This workshop is part of the public programme series in conjunction with The Present: The Future of the Past exhibition at the Fire Station: Artists in Residence.

‎عائشة العبد الله فنانة متعددة التخصصات تحكي قصصاً عن شخصياتها الخيالية وتتواصل مع طفلها الداخلي وتجاربها الشخصية باستخدام مزيج من الروايات الخيالية وبناء العوالم وتصميم الشخصيات. تستوحي أعمالها من الرسوم المتحركة اليابانية، والرسوم المتحركة الغربية، والعاب الفيديو وتأثير العولمة. حصلت عائشة على درجة البكالوريوس من جامعة ف*جينيا كومنولث كلية فنون التصميم في قطر في الرسم والطباعة وعرضت اعمالها في الدوحة وبرلين

Artist in Residence (8) | Aisha Al-Abdulla

Aisha Al-Abdulla is a multidisciplinary artist who tells stories about her fictional characters and gets in touch with her inner child and personal experiences by using a combination of fantasy narratives, world-building, and character design. Japanese animation, western cartoons, video games, and how globalization has affected Aisha’s interests all served as inspiration for her visual language. Aisha has a bachelor’s degree from VCUarts Qatar in painting and printmaking and she exhibited her work in Doha and Berlin.
