Sharing the Wisdom of Gardening!

Photos from Hadiqaa Consultancy's post 16/06/2026

This week, we facilitated a team-building gardening workshop where participants took part in hands-on planting activities.

In a fast-paced work environment, activities that encourage people to slow down, work with their hands, and connect with one another can have a meaningful impact. Gardening offers a unique opportunity for employees to step away from their screens, collaborate in a different setting, and engage in a shared experience that is both relaxing and rewarding.

Beyond the team-building aspect, gardening has been shown to support wellbeing by reducing stress, improving focus, and fostering a greater sense of connection to the natural world. It also encourages patience, responsibility, and long-term thinking, qualities that translate well into the workplace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought their enthusiasm to the session!

Most people assume the garden slows down as the heat sets in.

In reality, the cycle doesn’t stop, it just changes. This week, our community gardeners were out harvesting watermelons from their garden beds.

In Qatar’s climate, gardening isn’t limited to a season. With the right crops and a little care, the garden continues to provide learning, enjoyment, and fresh produce all year round.

Learning grows over time.

During our weekly gardening sessions with students from , every harvest reflects weeks of observation, care, and learning.

By engaging directly with the growing process, students develop practical gardening skills while building a deeper understanding of where food comes from and how living things grow.

Today is a reminder that caring for our planet starts with the choices we make every day. Even small actions can create a lasting impact.

At Hadiqaa, we use gardening to help people build meaningful connections with nature. From planting seeds to harvesting crops, each activity helps build an understanding of how our actions shape the world around us.

Happy World Environment Day!

Ever wonder how to keep your garden healthy without reaching for chemicals? Our young gardeners are already learning one natural solution.

Neem oil is a natural product derived from the seeds of the neem tree and is widely used in organic gardening to help manage common pests such as aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, and spider mites. Rather than killing insects instantly, it works by disrupting their feeding and life cycle, helping to keep pest populations under control over time.

For best results:
• Spray during the early morning or late afternoon.
• Apply to both the upper and lower surfaces of leaves.
• Reapply regularly when dealing with active pest issues.
• Avoid spraying flowers when pollinators are present.

With Hadiqaa, hands-on gardening experiences help children understand not only how plants grow, but also how to care for them responsibly using environmentally conscious practices.
