Hello hello,

How are you doing?
Last week, just before Ramadan begins, we decided to squeeze in one more dining experience โ€” and we ended up at ๐‘บ๐’‰๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’‚๐’Š ๐‘ด๐’†. This Michelin Guideโ€“listed Pan-Asian restaurant, located in the West Bay beach area, instantly transports you to 1930s Shanghai with its glamorous art-deco interiors and elegant ambiance.

They offer a fantastic set lunch from 12:00โ€“3:00 PM, priced at QR115 for three courses โ€” including one soup, one starter, and one main course (excluding water). If youโ€™re feeling a little indulgent, you can add dessert for just QR25 โ€” and honestly, why wouldnโ€™t you?

For the soup, I chose the ๐‘บ๐’˜๐’†๐’†๐’•๐’„๐’๐’“๐’ ๐‘บ๐’๐’–๐’‘ โ€” classic, comforting, and full of natural sweetness from the corn kernels. It was light yet flavourful, with a lovely texture that made it both satisfying and refreshing.

Choosing a starter was not easy at all โ€” everything sounded tempting. After much consideration, I went with the ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’‚๐’Ž๐’†๐’… ๐‘ด๐’Š๐’™๐’†๐’… ๐‘ซ๐’Š๐’Ž ๐‘บ๐’–๐’Ž ๐‘ฉ๐’‚๐’”๐’Œ๐’†๐’•, beautifully presented in a traditional bamboo steamer. Inside were ๐‘พ๐’Š๐’๐’… Each one had its own distinct flavour profile, and together they made a perfectly balanced trio.

For the main course, I opted for ๐‘น๐’Š๐’„๐’†โ€” mainly because I was craving good fried rice (hehe). And it absolutely delivered. The rice was light, fluffy, and perfectly separated โ€” exactly how great fried rice should be โ€” absorbing all those umami flavours. The shrimps were impressively large, coated in a sauce that was sweet, tangy, and gently spicy.

Of course, as someone with a serious sweet tooth, skipping dessert was never an option. I added the ๐‘ด๐’Š๐’๐’Œ๐’š ๐‘ช๐’‚๐’Œ๐’† โ€” a soft sponge cake served with mango, pineapple, and banana compote, topped with sesame ice cream. It was tropical, creamy, and beautifully balanced.

And just when we thought the meal was over, the staff surprised us with a bowl of ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’๐’˜๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’–๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ฐ๐’„๐’† ๐‘ช๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’Ž โ€” and wow, it was incredibly goooooood. It was rich, nutty, and indulgent in the best way.

Overall, the experience was remarkable. The service was polished and professional, with great attention to detail. A lovely pre-Ramadan treat and definitely a lunch worth repeating.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

Thursday night in Doha = unofficial weekend kickoff, so obviously we needed something with good vibes and a bit of sparkle. We were craving high energy, good music, cute viewsโ€ฆ the whole moment. So we headed to ๐‘ป๐’๐’๐’ ๐’‚๐’• ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ท๐’†๐’‚๐’“๐’ - and honestly, it felt like the right move.

๐‘ป๐’๐’๐’ serves Nikkei cuisine, which is that dreamy fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors. Think bold, zesty, fresh, and a little dramatic (in a good way). The terrace view overlooking the Pearl was absolutely stunning.

Their Vibrant Night runs every Thursday from 6โ€“10 PM, priced at QR295 for soft beverages and QR395 for the enhanced package. We went on a BOGO deal, so the value felt even better. Plus, thereโ€™s a live DJ from 8 PM until midnight, and thatโ€™s when the energy really picks up. It definitely sets the tone for a proper Thursday night out.

The evening featured a five-course table-served menu, which made it perfect for catching up without constantly getting up.

We started with the cold startersโ€”๐‘ป๐’“๐’๐’‘๐’Š๐’„๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ช๐’†๐’—๐’Š๐’„๐’‰๐’† ๐’‚๐’๐’… Both were beautifully presented, and the ceviche was especially refreshing and light.

Next came the hot starters: ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’Š๐’›๐’† ๐‘ด๐’–๐’๐’„๐’‰ ๐‘น๐’๐’๐’ ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘บ๐’‘๐’Š๐’„๐’š ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’Š๐’„๐’Œ๐’†๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’‚๐’ - comforting, flavorful, and easy crowd-pleasers.

The highlight was the ๐‘บ๐’–๐’”๐’‰๐’Š ๐‘ท๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“, which looked absolutely stunning with a wide selection of rolls and maki. Presentation-wise, it was a showstopper. Taste-wise, Iโ€™d say it was decent, though slightly heavier on the rice than the fish.

For mains, we had ๐’ - both tender, juicy, and satisfying.

Dessert wrapped up the night nicely, especially the cheesecake, which was smooth and enjoyable.

Overall, the food was just ok average, nothing special. However, the vibe? Thatโ€™s where Tono really shines. The music, the energy, the terrace atmosphereโ€”it all comes together to create a fun Thursday party mood.

And I have to mention the service. The staff were incredibly professional, and ๐‘น๐’๐’‰๐’Š๐’• truly elevated our experience. He was attentive, detail-oriented, and took the time to explain every dish. His service genuinely went above and beyond, making the night feel extra special.

If youโ€™re looking for a lively Thursday with great music and a stylish setting, Tono definitely brings the vibe.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?
Honestly, I just came back from a lovely evening discovering the secrets behind

Chef Supattra, a renowned chef from Thailand, is truly a visionary and the driving force behind Isaan Restaurant in Doha. Her passion for authentic Thai flavors is reflected in every single dish.

We started with โ€˜๐‘ฒ๐’‰๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ฒ๐’“๐’Š๐’‚๐’ƒ ๐‘ท๐’‚๐’Œ ๐‘ด๐’๐’‰โ€™ (QR45) โ€” delicate steamed rice-skin dumplings, a classic Thai street food snack. The translucent rice flour wrappers were filled with a savory-sweet mix of peanuts, palm sugar, spices, and fresh herbs. Light, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.

Next was a special The shrimp paste added a deep umami kick compared to the usual version. It was slightly too spicy for me, but still incredibly satisfying and packed with bold Thai flavors.

We also enjoyed the ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐‘ช๐’“๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’Ž๐’†๐’‚๐’•โ€™ (QR50), one of Isaanโ€™s signature dishes. Juicy pomelo combined with fresh herbs, crunchy nuts, and a sweet-tart-spicy dressing made it refreshing and vibrant โ€” a perfect appetizer.

For the mains, we had โ€˜๐‘ช๐’‰๐’Š๐’„๐’Œ๐’†๐’ ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’”๐’”๐’‚๐’Ž๐’‚๐’โ€™ (QR55) โ€” a creamy coconut curry with chicken, potatoes, peanuts, and warm spices like cinnamon and cardamom. Rich, nutty, and mildly spiced, itโ€™s the ultimate comfort dish.

The โ€˜๐‘บ๐’†๐’‚๐’‡๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’‚โ€™ (QR65) - spicy Thai seafood stir-fry was incredibly aromatic, thanks to fingerroot (krachai) and young green peppercorns. The layers of herbs and spices created a beautifully complex and fragrant dish that paired wonderfully with the seafood.

One thing I truly appreciated โ€” all main courses come with complimentary steamed rice, and you can request more anytime. We were super full full that we had to roll ourselves out hehehe.

To end the night, we had Creamy, rich, and perfectly sweet โ€” a dreamy way to finish the meal.

Kudos to ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’†๐’‡ ๐‘บ๐’–๐’‘๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’“๐’‚ for delivering truly, deeply authentic Thai flavors โ€” especially that unforgettable papaya salad. And a big thank you to ๐‘ฒ๐’‰๐’–๐’ ๐‘ต๐’‚๐’Ž and her team for their exceptional service.

Chef Supattra will be showcasing her creations at Isaan Thai Restaurant from 7thโ€“14th February, so donโ€™t miss the chance to experience this special culinary week.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

Last Friday, we had the best time celebrating one of my bestieโ€™s birthdays at the ๐‘ท๐’‚๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’Š๐’”๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’–๐’๐’„๐’‰ ๐’‚๐’• ๐‘ป๐’“๐’๐’‘๐’Š๐’„๐’‚๐’๐’‚ 360, located on the 48th floor of Dusit Hotel Dohaโ€”and what a celebration it was!

First of all, the viewโ€ฆ wow. The 360-degree panoramic view of the Doha skyline is absolutely breathtaking. Being that high up, with the city stretching out all around you, makes the whole experience feel extra special.

๐’Š๐’”๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’–๐’๐’„๐’‰ takes place every Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, offering an international buffet-style spread. The soft beverage package is priced at QR345, and the house beverage package at QR425. The best part? They had a BOGO offer, which made it even more enjoyable and affordableโ€”always a win!

The brunch was quite busy, which added to the lively and fun atmosphere. The energy in the venue was great, perfect for celebrations and group gatherings.

As for the food, it was ok standard and very variedโ€”something for everyone. The buffet included sushi and sashimi, cold seafood, ceviche, tacos and nachos, fresh salads, steak, baked salmon, pizza, pasta, and more. Itโ€™s the kind of spread where you can easily go back for seconds (or thirds).

Dessert lovers will be happy too. There were plenty of options, from cakes and chocolate fondue to churros and ice creamโ€”so definitely save some space!

Service was excellent throughout. Omar and Phyo were especially attentive and made sure everything was well taken care of. Our drinks were served promptly, and they really helped make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the live band, playing upbeat 80s-style rock music and yes it was loud as we wanted it to be. The ambience, combined with the music and stunning views, created such a vibrant and memorable setting.

Celebrating my friendโ€™s birthday at Tropicana 360 was truly perfect. The vibes were amazing, and itโ€™s definitely a place to create special memories.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

After quite a long time, we finally made our way back to the ๐‘ญ๐’“๐’Š๐’…๐’‚๐’š ๐‘ณ๐’–๐’‚๐’– ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’–๐’๐’„๐’‰ ๐’‚๐’• ๐‘ป๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ฝ๐’Š๐’„โ€™๐’”, Hilton Hotel Dohaโ€”and it was lovely to be back.

I still absolutely love the venue. The dome-shaped structure right by the beach is stunning, with its high ceiling and classic tiki-style dรฉcor that instantly gives you tropical island vibes.

๐‘ญ๐’“๐’Š๐’…๐’‚๐’š ๐‘ณ๐’–๐’‚๐’– ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’–๐’๐’„๐’‰ runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is served in a seated, sharing-style format. The enhanced package is priced at QAR 350 and is also available on BOGO, making it just QAR 175 per person with drinks. Honestly, thatโ€™s one of the best brunch deals in town.

The atmosphere was a big highlight for me. A live Latin-style band kept the energy high and had everyone moving all afternoon. The vibe was fun, lively, and full of good energy from start to finish.

We started with a generous selection of starters served to the table, including Trio Maki Rolls, Beef Gyoza, Hanguk Chicken Munchies, Tom Yum Gratin, and a couple of salads. It was a nice variety to kick things off.

For the main course, we had Teriyaki Tenderloin (sadly a bit overcooked), Miso Glazed Seabass, Green Curry Prawns, Black Pepper Chicken, and stir-fried noodles. A good mix of flavors overall.

Dessert included Coconut Flan, Pandan Cake, Mixed Fruits, and Vanilla Ice Cream. I must apologizeโ€”there were not many photos at this point because I was too busy dancing! I really enjoyed the pandan cake; it reminded me so much of a classic Thai dessert.

Overall, the food was just okay for me but the entertainment and atmosphere were absolutely superb. The live band, the crowd, and everyone dancing together made the experience super fun and memorable.

Hello hello,

How are you doing?

I recently traveled back to Thailand and this time I experienced an unforgettable night of action and tradition at ๐‘น๐’‚๐’‹๐’‚๐’…๐’‚๐’Ž๐’๐’†๐’“๐’ ๐‘บ๐’•๐’‚๐’…๐’Š๐’–๐’Ž. It is one of the oldest and most famous Muay Thai stadiums in Thailand, and you can truly feel the history the moment you step inside.

To be honest, I wasnโ€™t 100% sure about going at first since Iโ€™m not really a boxing fan and Iโ€™m a bit against violence. But we decided to give it a tryโ€ฆ why not? Iโ€™m Thai after all.

We visited on a Saturday evening and the stadium was completely packed, so I would definitely recommend booking tickets in advance if you want a better view.

The experience turned out to be really exciting. The live traditional music, combined with the stunning ceiling lights and artistic visuals, created such a unique atmosphere. They also shared stories about Thai culture along with interesting facts about Muay Thai, which made it feel more like watching a cultural show rather than just a fight.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was intense and full of energy. The crowd was cheering loudly, and the sound of traditional Muay Thai music made every match even more thrilling.

We are honestly so glad we went as we had such a great time. The whole experience was incredible. Each fight showcased the fightersโ€™ strength, skill, and discipline, which gave me a whole new level of respect for Muay Thai.

If youโ€™re planning a trip to Thailand next time, itโ€™s definitely worth giving it a try.
