OFW ka ngayon… pero ano ang plano mo after OFW life?
Most of us went abroad to provide for our families, save, and build a better future.
“Handa ba talaga akong umuwi?”
This Friday, I’ll be one of the speakers at the OFIE-M 14th Anniversary Celebration for:
BEYOND OFW LIFE:
From Overseas Work to Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship
I’ll be sharing about Reintegration Planning — paano paghandaan financially ang pag-uwi, especially if you’re planning to start a business or build another source of income in the Philippines.
Pag-uusapan natin ang savings, emergency and runway fund, protection, and goal-based investing based on the kind of business or life you want to build.
We also need to prepare for questions like:
Magkano ba talaga ang kailangan kong capital?
May enough ba akong funds habang hindi pa kumikita ang business?
At paano ko mapoprotektahan ang family ko habang nagta-transition ako?

If you’re an OFW in Qatar na nag-iisip nang umuwi someday, mag-business, or simply prepare for your next chapter, I’d love to see you there.
Hindi lang basta makauwi.
Ang goal is makauwi nang handa.
See you, mga kababayan! 🇵🇭

Makes sense naman.
So kumuha siya ng car loan.
Then dumating yung second receipt.
Fuel.
Insurance.
Maintenance.
Registration.
Parking.
Repairs.
Yung akala niyang same expense lang, naging much bigger commitment pala.
Before making a big financial decision, don’t just ask:
“Kaya ko ba yung monthly?”
Ask:
“Kaya ko ba lahat ng kasama nito?”
Para walang gulatan.
Walang unnecessary sakit ng ulo.
At hopefully, hindi loan ngayon, iyak later. 😅
Every decision gives you two receipts:
what you paid, and what it costs your life.
That’s what we talk about on the Count the Cost Podcast. 🎙️
Practical conversations about money, decisions, family, faith, and building a life with fewer regrets.

Sometimes financial progress doesn’t look like having more money.
Sometimes, it looks like less stress, clearer priorities, and more peace of mind.
That’s what stood out to me from Rotinie & Earn’s experience.
Months after creating their financial blueprint, they still go back to it, review their priorities, and make adjustments as life changes.
Because that’s really what financial wellness is about.
Hindi naman kailangang perfect ang finances mo. But knowing where you stand, what matters most, and what your next step should be can already remove a lot of uncertainty.
A good financial plan shouldn’t make life feel heavier.
It should help you and your family move forward with clarity, direction, and confidence.
For you, what would give you more financial peace of mind right now: more savings, less debt, better protection, or simply having a clear plan?
I’ve sat with hundreds of OFWs, and I keep seeing the same thing:
Malinaw ang pangarap. Pero madalas, walang malinaw na system kung paano makarating doon.
That’s why Count the Cost exists.
Not just to talk about work abroad, but about money, family, faith, life abroad, and the decisions shaping our future.
Because every sacrifice has a cost.
And if we’re building a better life, sana intentional. Hindi aksidente.
If you’re an OFW, here’s a question worth asking:
What are you building for right now? 👇
Tag an OFW friend who needs this.

One of the best outcomes of a financial planning conversation is not always a product or an investment.
Sometimes, it’s simply this: “Mas malinaw na sa akin kung ano ang kailangan kong gawin next.”
That clarity matters.
Because when you understand what you need to protect, what gaps you need to address, and where you want to go, financial decisions become less overwhelming.
Thank you, Marie Rojas, for trusting me with your financial planning journey and for sharing this kind recommendation. 🙏
My goal has always been simple: help people make financial decisions with greater clarity, direction, and confidence.

Retirement isn't about stopping work—it's about having the freedom to decide when, where, and if you want to work.
Financial freedom gives you options. Kaya habang may oras pa, start building the future you'll thank yourself for. Every small step today creates more choices tomorrow.
Ready to work because you want to, not because you have to?

So why count the cost?
Before you start building anything - your faith, your business, your relationship - count it first.
Drop a 🔥 if you've ever jumped into something before thinking it through.
Jesus wasn’t talking about money here. He was talking about commitment.
And honestly, that applies to more than just discipleship.
You don’t buy hollow blocks and start building a house the same day.
You plan. You measure. You count what it will take.
Same with life.
The real question is not “Can I start?”
It’s “Am I ready to finish?”
Worth sitting with.
Can you still remember why you first left home?
Before the work, bills, responsibilities, and years abroad… may goal ka. May reason ka. May pangarap ka.
Minsan, sa sobrang busy natin, nakakalimutan nating balikan iyon.
So here’s a simple question:
Are the decisions you’re making today still bringing you closer to the life you wanted to build?
Maybe yes. Maybe no. Maybe matagal mo nang hindi naiisip.
Either way, maybe it’s time to get clear again.

We work. We provide. We keep going.
