is a collection of vases in cast aluminum. Playful in colors and geometries, the vases combine the raw esthetic of cast aluminum with colorful powder coated parts that allow flowers and plants to behave in different ways and create variations in space.
The collection puts forward the notion of play that allows the end user to select any container size and match it with different suggested crowns.
The collection is launched as a series of capsules in different variations and geometries in different cities.
Studio Etienne Bastormagi presents a new series of pieces called behaviorology launched as a series of capsules. The studio combines its playful take on projects and pieces continuing its quest for minimalism in architecture, and interpretations of new ways of behaviors in space.

When Palestinians were exiled in 1948 during the Nakba (the catastrophe), they took their house keys, hoping to return in a few days or weeks. Throughout 75 years of ongoing dispossession, Palestinians have carried scents of their land in their collective memory and consciousness.
1948 weaves a story of resilience, identity, and connection to the land. A series of six candles merge motifs of pain and hope, longing and resistance. They carry scents and colors from the Palestinian landscape and the diaspora, evoking memories and emotions associated with the homeland. Consumable and transient, the candles symbolize renewed hope.
The candle holder resembles the Palestinian key - a symbol of Palestinians’ right of return - and takes its material inspiration from the concrete of the demolished villages and houses.
The scents in the 1948 collection are olive, thyme, sage, orange, fig, and jasmine.

Al Jasassiya is an ancient rock art found in a petroglyph site located on the northeastern coast of Qatar, where pearling and trading once flourished. The site was discovered in 1957 and compromises of nearly 900 rock carvings that are believed to date back to the 17th century. They express human life through objects of daily activities, such as cup marks, animals, and different kinds of ships.
Inspired by Al Jasassiya site, Ibrahim Jaidah has designed a collection of carpets that harnesses the heritage of pearl diving through translating the rock carvings into a cultural narrative. The individual carpets depict the various types of dhows in profile and top views with minimal abstracted details. Each carpet has been named according to the cultural terminology that these illustrations connote. The story concludes with the statement piece where all the individuals boats are portrayed in a scene, which marks the return of the pearl divers; a celebrated occasion that is culturally called Al Guffal. Al Jasassiya carpet collection praises and celebrates these unique rock carvings that offer a bridge to the history of the land and its people.
