Cheers to 23 years of Brancoprata.
Not just years on paper, but years of showing up: for our couples, for the people in the room, for the work, for our team, for other teams and for the stories that only exist because someone decided to gather and celebrate.
We’re grateful for every wedding, every celebration, every table, every speech, every cheer, every flower, every image and for everyone who trusted us to be there, quietly doing what we do.
23 years in, and we still feel the same excitement and joy.
Thank you for cheering us on.

June has been ectic around here.
Travel, events, studio work, and a lot of long day’s editing.
We’ve been quiet on the feed, but today we’re back, at least to say hi, and with a getting ready moment from Kauai, Hawaii.
We know the pressure right now is fast content, constant updates, BTS of everything.
But taking a breath before posting every single minute is simply more our pace. When we’re shooting or styling a wedding, our focus is the couple. Period.
The experience, the flow of the day, the people around them, and the team and vendors working alongside us.
That matters more to us than proving we were there.
Maybe we’ll get better at BTS, and we get why it’s useful... only up to a point, at least.
But our work has always been the point.
Not our faces.
Not a highlight reel of us “looking cool” while we’re actually melting under the sun and chasing a schedule that never goes exactly to plan.
And before this lands the wrong way.. hey, no judgement here.
This is just our way of doing things.

A studio editorial on film ... same model and the same dress by , in three different frames.
We love how film holds texture and light and how small shifts in posture can change the whole mood without changing anything else.
This is the kind of work we keep coming back to in the studio.
Testing, refining, building a visual language that can later live in real wedding days, when everything moves fast and you still want the images to feel deliberate.

Northern Blue, but stripped back to the bones.
A white canvas, a rectangular table draped in white cloth, and a collection of modern silver candle holders treated like small structures instead of simple accessories.
Some held candles, others held small silver dishes with cut flowers.
Then we brought in white ceramics and used them as candle holders, almost switching the roles on purpose.
The only blue in the whole composition is the candles and the subtle flowers, but that feels very Northern Blue too.
Minimal, quiet, deliberate.
A reminder that colour can lead us without taking over.

Thirteen years ago we photographed this engagement session, and we’re sharing it again on purpose.
Not as a throwback for the sake of it, but as proof that the value of photography doesn’t fade just because time passes.
If anything, it grows.
Images like these become a way back.
A record of who you were before the wedding, before the next chapter, when everything was still being imagined.
Trends come and go.
Social media moves on in a day.
But your photos should never be about hype.
They should be about you, and the things that are true between you, in your own rhythm, in your own place.
That is what lasts.

Northern Blue, with water on our mind again.
We kept the green installation from the last chapters and brought textile back into the scene, not as decoration, but as a gesture. A waterfall effect cascading through the greenery and pooling into a “river”, the fabric doing what water does best, moving, softening edges, changing the mood without changing the structure.
These studio compositions have become a quiet ritual for us. Thirty to forty minutes, that’s it. A pause to make something with our hands, to breathe, to test ideas that could later live in a wedding ceremony or a wedding dinner setting.
No pressure, no judgement, no fear.
Just making.

Northern Blue is back, and this chapter lives around the table.
Being Portuguese, and being born and raised in the North, a meal is never just about eating.
It’s hours of stories, small talk that turns into real conversations, laughter that keeps going, plates passed around, and the kind of memory making you don’t plan for.
It’s a way of living.
So we built this setting with that in mind.
Green scenery as the backdrop, because the North is never far from it, and a reference to water, not only the ocean, but the rivers that run through these parts and shape the rhythm of life here.
A textile wrapped around the stools like a cascade, bringing movement into something that is meant to be shared, slowly.
