9 out of 10 people who walk into a BJJ gym never make it to blue belt. 💀

The mats aren’t the problem the silence between progress is.

Kombat Evolve turns every check-in into XP, every milestone into a badge, and every week into a streak your students don’t want to break. Belts, levels, leaderboards, hours-trained trophies the white-belt grind finally feels like leveling up. 🥋⚡

Your job is to coach. Ours is to make them keep showing up.

Coach Spotlight: Alexander Metzger at Renzo Gracie Schweinfurt 🇩🇪

The Renzo Gracie lineage runs from Rio → New York → Holland → now Bavaria.

Alex teaches BJJ from age 3 to adult competition. Three kids tiers (Minis, Mittel, Maxis), adult Gi + NoGi + MMA, kettlebell strength built around his own method. Pedagogically trained for the youngest, technically serious for the rest.

Affiliated with RenzoGracieHolland-KVBJJ and a direct student of Prof. Kemail Verhoeven (3rd-degree black belt).

A few weeks ago, the academy moved into a bigger space at Schopperstr. 18, ten minutes from Rossmarkt. New room, same family, more open mat.

If you’re in Bayern and want to learn BJJ from a serious lineage that’s the address.

Brown belt is the polish. 🥋

Purple, you made the game yours. Brown? You make it sharp — you stop adding moves and start cutting, until what’s left is lethal.

Six honest habits to take you to the edge of black:

1. Cut, don’t add — trim to what works, make it lethal.
2. Win with less — efficiency over scrambles.
3. Master the details — millimetres separate you from black.
4. Carry the room — you set the standard now.
5. Stay a student — ego creeps in at brown; keep getting humbled.
6. Build your legacy game — the style your students will inherit.

Black isn’t a finish line. It’s where you finally start teaching.

Save it. Tag a brown belt who’s earned it. 👇

Purple belt is where it gets personal. 🥋

White belt you survived. Blue belt you built a game. Purple? You make it yours — and you become a problem for everyone on the mat.

Six honest habits that take you from solid to dangerous:

1. Build a game that’s yours — stop collecting moves, develop a style.
2. Connect everything — guard, sweeps, passes, finishes as one system.
3. Hunt the finish — sharpen your subs until you tap the belts above you.
4. Survive the purple blues — this is where most quit. Keep showing up.
5. Teach for real — you master your game by explaining it.
6. Compete with a clear head — pressure shows you what actually holds up.

The road to brown isn’t flashier it’s cleaner, and it’s earned in mat time.

Save this. Tag a purple belt who lives it. 👇

Every black belt was once a white belt who refused to quit. 🥋

The white belt is the hardest belt not because the moves are hard, but because everything is new and you’ll lose a lot. That’s the point.

Here are 6 honest habits that turn a beginner into a real grappler:

1️⃣ Just keep showing up consistency beats talent
2️⃣ Survive first defense before offense
3️⃣ Tap early, tap often your ego is not your friend
4️⃣ Drill the fundamentals basics win rolls
5️⃣ Pick a few techniques, not fifty
6️⃣ Respect the mat etiquette earns you great partners

Save this and come back to it after a tough session. The only white belt who fails is the one who stops coming. 👊
