A rota entre o Aeroporto Internacional Toronto Pearson e o Aeroporto João Paulo II, em Ponta Delgada, decorre de 12 de junho a 26 de setembro de 2026, às segundas, terças e quintas-feiras e sábados. Os quatro voos semanais serão realizados em aeronaves Boeing 737 MAX 8, com capacidade para aproximadamente 174 passageiros.

✈️ WestJet is strengthening its operation between Toronto and Ponta Delgada, consolidating the connection between Canada and the Azores during the summer season.

The route between Toronto Pearson International Airport and João Paulo II Airport, in Ponta Delgada, runs from 12 June to 26 September 2026, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The four weekly flights will be operated using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with a capacity for approximately 174 passengers.

LAS Maintenance is proud to support WestJet's operation in the Azores by providing Line Maintenance services to the airline's aircraft, ensuring their availability, safety and operational reliability.

✈️ A Air Canada inaugurou recentemente a sua nova rota sazonal entre Toronto e Ponta Delgada, reforçando a conexão entre a América do Norte e Portugal e respondendo assim à crescente procura de viagens entre os dois países.

A ligação entre o Aeroporto Internacional Toronto Pearson e o Aeroporto João Paulo II, em Ponta Delgada, teve início a 11 de junho e estará disponível até 6 de setembro de 2026, com três voos semanais, às quartas-feiras, sextas-feiras e domingos, operados por aeronaves Boeing 737 MAX 8.

✈️ Air Canada has recently launched its new seasonal route between Toronto and Ponta Delgada, strengthening connectivity between North America and Portugal and responding to the growing demand for travel between the two countries.

The service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and João Paulo II Airport in Ponta Delgada started on 11 June and will operate until 6 September 2026, with three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, operated using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

We’ve officially joined the trend — aviation maintenance edition 😅

Because there’s always room for humour in the hangar between inspections, troubleshooting and night shifts 🌙🔧

Last month our aircraft maintenance technicians have successfully completed the A320 NEO & CEO type training.

This specialised programme provides in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems engines and structure while combining theoretical learning with practical application in a real maintenance context.

Designed for B1 and B2 professionals, this training supports certification pathways and prepares technicians to perform maintenance tasks with accuracy efficiency and confidence.

An important step in strengthening safety standards operational performance and technical excellence across our teams.✈️
