This time, the drawing stays.

Hand drawing is an important step in preparing our tile works: we mark directly onto the surface, with a quick synthetic sketch, the exact position of each tile — then it disappears underneath the panel.

A week in residence at without tiles, with paper and pencil, watercolours and the archive of found photographs we’ve been collecting for years.

Sorting through tile trims makes us happy and our hands dirty. The “3 Marias“ were born from a 1970s photograph, took shape on our studio workbench, and are now installed at .

From a dark garage to an oasis in the city center. Between 360º vertical and suspended gardens by at , the project took shape along the way: materials, colors, forms, and textures. An organic process of collaboration with the client and some of our favourite creative teams.

An intense week on our knees over a 4-meter skateboard — specially prepared by — painting nearly 200m2 of tiles for a new mural in Lisbon. A new scale for a hand-painted process.
