Most quivers are built backwards.

One board that half-works in everything, and nothing that comes alive when the forecast finally delivers. The Ego Booster is the other half of that equation.

High rocker, so it holds its line through a bowling section instead of catching a rail. Single to double concave, so it accelerates through the turn rather than after it. Round tail, for control where the wave is steepest.

THE BARE BONES, FINS INCLUDED

Extra volume through the front gets you in early, the balanced rocker and soft rolled rails keep the rail-to-rail transitions smooth, and the flat-to-spiral-vee bottom carries speed through the sections where a shortboard would stall. The round pin tail is what keeps it honest — it tightens the turn radius so the glide doesn't turn into drift.

Think horizontal, not vertical. Carves, trim lines, roundhouses, the occasional floater on a closing section. 6'6" to 7'10", 39.50L to 56L.

That decision is yours: pick any model in the Base Surfboards range as the blueprint, then set length, width, thickness and volume to how you actually surf — not to whatever size happened to be in stock. Choose your fin setup, choose your spray.
