OPTIMAL GROUP was honoured to participate in the Portuguese Industry Day at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, an initiative organised by idD Portugal Defence in cooperation with the Portuguese Delegation to NATO.

The event provided a valuable platform for direct engagement between Portuguese industry and representatives of Allied Armed Forces, NATO organisations, military delegations and embassies from across the Alliance.

Through OPTIMAL PROTECTION, the Group's dedicated defence company, we continue to strengthen our commitment to delivering innovative, reliable and scalable solutions that meet the demanding requirements of Allied forces and defence agencies.

At the event, OPTIMAL PROTECTION showcased its UAV platform and engaged directly with NATO stakeholders, Allied Armed Forces representatives and defence decision-makers from across the Alliance to present its broader defence portfolio, including UAV and USV solutions, as well as Advanced Composite Ballistic Protection systems. The platform is backed by a proven industrial capability capable of manufacturing more than 3,000 UAVs annually, demonstrating the Group's ability to support large-scale programmes and sustained operational requirements.

In the field of ballistic protection, OPTIMAL PROTECTION currently offers solutions up to STANAG Level 4, leveraging OPTIMAL GROUP's extensive expertise in advanced composites and high-volume manufacturing.

As part of AED Days 2026, OPTIMAL GROUP was pleased to showcase a selection of its advanced defence solutions and industrial capabilities alongside leading international industry players.

Over the years, OPTIMAL GROUP has established itself as a leading manufacturer of advanced composite structures for the defence, aerospace, naval and automotive sectors, with a strong focus on high-volume production programmes.

With five industrial facilities across Portugal and the United Kingdom, together with a spaceport in the Azores, OPTIMAL GROUP continues to strengthen its industrial footprint and operational capability to support strategic, large-scale and high-impact programmes for both national and international markets.

During AED Days 2026, OPTIMAL GROUP presented a range of innovative solutions and products, including UAVs, USVs and advanced composite ballistic protection systems. Within the defence sector, the Group currently offers ballistic protection solutions up to STANAG Level 4, supported by scalable high-volume manufacturing capacity.

The OPTIMAL GROUP, through its defence-focused company OPTIMAL PROTECTION, was honoured to participate with an exhibition stand at the INOVARMY Summit & Expo 2026, organised by the Portuguese Army with the support of idD Portugal Defence.

The event was attended by the Secretary of State for National Defence, Álvaro Castelo Branco, and the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, General Boga Ribeiro.

During the event, OPTIMAL PROTECTION showcased advanced certified ballistic protection solutions, including protection levels up to STANAG Level 4 - the required standard for the MLU Pandur programme.

Congratulations to all involved for the excellent organisation of this important defence and innovation initiative.
