Only a 15-minute drive from our villas, The 'Salgados Nature Reserve', also know as 'Lagoa dos Salgados', is one of the most important freshwater wetlands in the Algarve. There is a boardwalk where you can go for a run or cycle across the marshes and reed beds. This lagoon has also become one of the most sought-after birding hotspots in the Algarve for its large variety of resident bird species, many of which are rare and scarce. 🐦🐥🦆
