Understanding your own fertility test results can feel harder than actually taking the test.
That's part of why we're opening the Beta of MensFertility — a new platform where you can upload and organize your fertility results, understand what the numbers mean, and track changes over time.
The first feature live in Beta: semen analysis interpretation. Upload your lab report and our AI assistant breaks down the key parameters in plain language, and flags anything that may be worth discussing with a professional. It's built to help you understand your results — not to diagnose them.
We're also building couple profiles and a telemedicine network of andrologists, urologists, gynecologists and fertility specialists.
Beta spots are limited, and we're building this with real feedback from real users — including any criticism.

Blood vessels, a lifting muscle and scrotal skin work together every day to keep the te**es cooler than the rest of the body — with zero conscious effort involved.

Hot baths and saunas are different heat exposures, and the direct evidence on baths is much thinner and weaker than most people assume.

A fever can temporarily lower s***m parameters, and that effect often only shows up in a semen analysis weeks after the illness has passed

Today's habits won't show up in a semen analysis right away — the s***m in a sample started developing 2–3 months earlier

What happens to s***m when they get too hot? 🧖♂️
We know that s***m production is sensitive to temperature.
One small human study found that repeated sauna exposure was linked to temporary decreases in s***m count and motility.
But does that automatically mean lower fertility?
Not necessarily.
A larger study of 3,041 couples found little association between sauna use and the chance of conceiving.
So there’s an important distinction:
S***m parameters ≠ fertility outcomes.
But if temperature can affect the environment where s***m are produced, it raises another interesting question:
Can controlled cooling help? ❄️
That’s the question behind CoolMen.
Swipe through to see what the research actually tells us.
Would you change your sauna habits while trying to conceive?

Your testicles are outside your body for a reason.
S***m production is temperature-sensitive — which is why the te**es are maintained in a cooler environment than the body's core.
But here's the interesting part: this isn't a one-time process. S***m are being produced continuously, every day.
So what happens when that environment gets warmer?
That's where the science gets interesting.
Follow along — we're getting into heat exposure and s***m health next.
Ever wondered why testicles hang outside the body, exposed to the world? It’s not for comfort—it’s all about staying cool.
S***m production only works if things stay a few degrees cooler than normal body heat. Your body actually has a built-in cooling system: veins that pre-cool blood, muscles that move the testicles closer or farther from the body depending on the weather, and super-thin skin made to shed heat fast.
But it’s easy to throw off this system: think laptops on your lap, hours of sitting, tight clothes, hot tubs, or working in a hot place. Studies link all these to real (but often temporary) drops in s***m health. Since s***m take over two months to develop, a hot week now might only show up in your results much later.
Here’s the upside: unlike most fertility factors, this is one you can actually control. Small changes to daily habits can make a real difference.
