Cybersecurity is a rapidly evolving field of science and technology that has a significant impact on the world around us. There are more and more challenges in this field that we have to face.

For this reason, we decided to organize an International Research Workshop "CSCC: Computer Security & Cybersecurity Challenges 2022", to which we would like to invite you.

The main objective of the event is to create an international platform for young scientists (PhD or master students) to share their latest experiences and research results in the field of computer security and cybersecurity.

Participation for qualified persons is free of charge. We also cover the cost of the coffee breaks. Participants pay only for the flight and accommodation, however, we have a pool of scholarships for the best ones - then we also cover their accommodation.

To view the workshop schedule and registration rules, please visit our website: http://cscc2022.syskonf.pl

We present our bingo! There you can see the most common things that can be heard in team organizing Students' Science Conference. :D

Thanks to Akademicki Klub Lotniczy PWr for nomination to this task (and sorry it took so long to respond)! Klub Studencki Bajer and Młodzi Naukowcy - maybe you can share your bingo next?

Klub Studencki Bajer nominated us to the challenge, so we want to present you another man of science – Professor Hugo Steinhaus, mathematic and educator.

He is related to a few universities around the world – to the University of Lemberg, where he studied and worked, and Göttingen University, where he finished his Ph.D. Years later, he was co-founder of Lwów School of Mathematics from which our university descends. After World War II, he began teaching at the University of Wroclaw.

Steinhaus is an author of over 170 works! Mostly mathematical – around geometry, trigonometry, probability theory, mathematical logic… and much more. One theorem has name after him and his student (Banach-Steinhaus). Some can be interested in the fact that Steinhaus was also interested in game theory.

At the end, we have two quotes for you. Their author is, of course, professor Steinhaus. Mathematic amateurs will like the second one for sure. :D

“It’s easy to get from home of reality into the forest of mathematics, but only few can return.” („Łatwo z domu rzeczywistości zajść do lasu matematyki, ale nieliczni tylko umieją wrócić.”)

„Mathematician will do it better!” (“Matematyk zrobi to lepiej.”) 😉

And nominations - remember, you have 72 hours to meet the challenge - go to Politechnika Wrocławska, Cracow Cognitive Science Conference, NZS PWr, International Student Conferences and Львівська політехніка!

Have you heard about Tremor? He is a cosmo dinosaur! SpaceX Demo-2 crew – called also Crew Dragon Demo-2 – took him aboard as a “zero-g indicator”. Taking toys to the space flights is a tradition which started at 1961 when cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin launched his spacecraft with small doll on bord.

We are sure that some future astronauts or just people interested in cosmos are with us here, so we have a small contest for you! Write in a comment what zero-g indicator YOU would take to space and why. Will it be a dinosaur? Or a small Earth, similar to the one which was taken to space by Crew Dragon Demo-1? Or maybe something else? Tell us about it!

For a winner we prepared set of gadgets from Students’ Science Conference and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology… and Tremor dinosaur! Not the one which was in the space but really similar to this! :D

Short regulations:
1. The competition lasts from publishing this post to Sunday, 23.59 CET.
2. Results will be published on Students’ Science Conference fanpage on Facebook.
3. One person can propose more than one toy.
4. The only condition to take part in the competition is liking SSC Facebook profile.
5. Descriptions have to be censorship and in English.
6. The winner will be chosen by special committee from our team.
