Two restored short films by Stefan and Franciszka Themerson The Eye and the Ear (1945) and Przygoda człowieka poczciwego (Adventures of a Good Citizen, 1937) to Screen at Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival.
This presentation was made possible by a brilliant Polish collaboration: FixaFilm expertly handled the image restoration, the complex sound digitization and restoration were completed by Media Inventions, which successfully extracted the original optical soundtracks from 35mm film scans. Utilizing their advanced Image To Sound Tools system, the team achieved a high-fidelity recovery of the early optical sound through sophisticated signal analysis and precise synchronization.
