At the heart of the exhibition is View of Nature (2026), an eight-panel painting spanning an entire wall. Drawing from John Emslie’s 1852 engraving, the work traces the distance from the equator to the Arctic, reimagining it as both a geographic record and a colonial archive. Abraham Onkst (b. 2000, Pennsylvania) is a painter who lives and works in Altoona, the small central-Pennsylvania town where he was raised. His practice began at twelve with graffiti - absorbed through videos of writers in distant cities, far from the walls where it was made - when he began drawing his classmates’ names in stylized lettering and selling the drawings for ten dollars apiece. At thirteen, on a first visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, he encountered Jackson Pollock’s Autumn Rhythm, whose scale and conviction redirected the lettering impulse toward canvas.

Onkst’s work is gaining rapid traction with collectors and Institutions worldwide.

His painting “United We Stand” is on view now at The DeLand Museum of Art as a part of the exhibition “Our Flag in American Art 1935-2026” - Organized by Harmon-Meek Gallery.

Elisabeth Post (born in 1982) is a Belgian visual artist based in the South of France.

Trained at RITCS (Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound) in Brussels, she is now dedicated to an intuitive painting practice built through layers, erasures, and emergence. Influenced by CoBrA and Art Brut, her work explores a free and spontaneous form of expression.

Elisabeth has always developed a creative practice deeply rooted in storytelling, image-making, and artistic creation.

Her journey has evolved across different mediums, never confined to a single form of expression.

She worked for many years as a television director for Belgian television while continuing to pursue her own artistic research. Over the years, her practice has moved fluidly between directing, writing, and painting.

Guided by a deep interest in image, emotion, and storytelling, Elisabeth approaches each medium as a different way of exploring what moves us, what connects us, and what remains unseen.

Since 2021, painting has become the central focus of her artistic practice.
