We are happy to announce another update to our projection system. Thanks to our new technological partner atmoky we introduced a new binauraliser - Atmoky Ears. This will give even more depth to the spatial audio in UMFC VR productions. Atmoky is a startup company founded by alumni of the renowned Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics Graz, known for their research in the field of ambisonics and spatial audio. Zapraszamy na projekcję VR towarzyszącą instalacji Strunofonia 2.0, której autorem jest Wojciech Błażejczyk . Instalacja jest dostępna w foyer sali koncertowej - przy naszej kabinie. Instalacja dostępna jest do tego czwartku.
Nasza kabina znowu działa po pandemicznej przerwie. Zapraszamy do testowania nowego oprogramowania do odtwarzania, które powstało w ramach projektu badawczego finansowanego przez Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina. Teraz już nie musicie używać pilota, wystarczy wasz wzrok aby decydować o tym co chcecie odtwarzać.

Today (10.03.2022, 18:00 GMT+1) will be a concert for 70th anniversary of Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of Gdańsk University of Technology. The concert will feature John Rutter's "Magnificat" performed by Anna Fabrello (soprano), BalticAlians chamber orchestra, and Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology. The choir will perform a few a ca****la pieces as well.
If you intend to check out the livestream, please read the information on the livestream's webpage, especially the Recommendations. Also, please fill a questionnaire for participants after the concert. It's rather short, so if you will watch the livestream, please fill in the questionnaire afterward. This will be a huge help for future projects!

UMFC VR has been closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but behind the scenes, there was a lot going on. We are preparing for the reopening and we have many new features that include a brand new software player, which will enable users to experience our productions in unprecedented quality. Employing NVDEC for video (up to 8192 x 8192 in 12 bit) and Wwise for audio (up to 5th order ambisonics). This is probably the most advanced VR playback app avaliable.
