Podczas spotkania mówiłem o długiej, wspólnej historii łączącej Polskę i Afrykę, opartej na solidarności, wspólnej walce o wolność i wzajemnym szacunku.

During my visit to Poznań on November 23, 2025, alongside my participation in the public meeting on the situation in Sudan, I had the opportunity to meet with a group of Sudanese refugees living in the city.

We had an open and heartfelt conversation about their experiences of displacement, adaptation, and integration in Poland. I also met some of their Polish language teachers and mentors, who are doing remarkable work supporting their learning and inclusion.

I spoke about the longstanding historical connections between Poland and Africa, built on solidarity, shared struggles for freedom, and mutual respect. I encouraged our Sudanese brothers and sisters to stay in permanent contact with the Euro-African Foundation and the Association of the Sudanese Community in Poland, so that together we can strengthen our network, provide support, and amplify their voices.

These encounters remind us that solidarity begins with listening, understanding, and standing together — across continents, cultures, and histories. 🌍🤝🇸🇩🇵🇱

Note on Participation of Adil Abdel Aati in the Event Organized by Stowarzyszenie Lepszy Świat (Poznań, Poland)

Adil Abdel Aati, representing the Euro-African Foundation, had the honor to serve as the main speaker at an event organized by Stowarzyszenie Lepszy Świat in Poznań, as part of the Przestrzeń Dobrej Integracji project, with the support of Poznańska Garażówka, Centrum Badań Migracyjnych UAM, Łazęga Poznańska, and Miasto Poznań.

The meeting, held on November 23, 2025, was dedicated to the current crisis in Sudan — the devastating war, the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe, and the experiences of those forced to flee their homes.

In his address, Adil Abdel Aati shared insights on the historical roots of the Sudanese conflict, the political and social challenges facing the country today, and the urgent need for peace, democracy, and international solidarity. Together with Malik Abaker, a Sudanese participant now living in Poznań, the discussion brought personal and analytical perspectives on the tragedy affecting millions.

The organizers expressed deep gratitude to everyone who joined the conversation, choosing to spend a Sunday afternoon discussing difficult but vital issues — and reminding all that “about Sudan, we must not remain silent.”

Heartfelt thanks to the hosts for creating this space of dialogue, empathy, and understanding between communities. 🌍🤝🇸🇩🇵🇱
