Friday’s classes turned into a space filled with imagination, emotions, and creative discovery. ✨📚🎨

Through art, poetry, and writing, students explored how words can express emotions, build confidence, and help us better understand both ourselves and the world around us. Creative exercises encouraged reflection, abstract thinking, and authentic self-expression, showing that language is much more than grammar or rules, but it is a way of seeing, feeling, and connecting. 💭

Metaphors, images, and storytelling opened the door to new ideas and unexpected perspectives. Even structured writing tasks became an opportunity to share personal thoughts, emotions, and creativity. 🌿✍️

These were the kind of lessons that stay in the mind and heart for a long time.

November unfolded as a season of stories, reflection, and creative discovery. ✨

We wandered through autumn poetry filled with silence, colors, and fleeting moments. We followed literary characters into fantastical worlds where courage, friendship, and imagination shaped every path. 📚🍂

We also explored traditions connected with this time of year — from Slavic Dziady and Christian customs to Halloween — discovering how differently cultures speak about memory, light, and what remains after darkness. 🕯️

Music, literature, and painting intertwined during interdisciplinary activities, proving that art speaks many languages, yet reaches the same emotions. 🎨🎶

And now, December is already waiting just around the corner. ❄️✨

New school year started. And I keep asking myself: how open is the Polish school system today? What troubles me the most is how ready we truly are to welcome students arriving from abroad.

Are we prepared to support these children so that they feel good here?
So that they become interested in Polish culture and language?
Are native students ready to offer support and friendship?
Are Polish teachers and school staff ready, willing, and equipped to work with students who have migration backgrounds?

We talk a lot about inclusion—but based on my experience over the years, I still see a big gap.
We often lack the tools, the understanding, and sometimes even the willingness to work effectively with migrant children or national minorities.

But it is through our own attitude and openness that we can truly encourage these students to connect—with us, our country, our culture, and our language.

🌾Summer Reflections from Gdańsk🌾

This summer, I had the pleasure of attending an educational event in Gdańsk - a gathering of Teach for Poland Alumni and a “training buffet.”, 🌾where I led workshops on foreign language teaching and we also had very important discussion about the growing challenges of educating non-native students in the Polish system.

🌾What made the experience truly memorable was reconnecting with my students and meeting inspiring individuals, with whom I hope to collaborate on future projects very soon (Karolina Wójcik).

Thank you to my new colleagues ( Kubicka & Smolikowski) for the very insightful exchange on national consciousness,
and to Teach for Poland ( Nabrdalik & Grabowska) for these powerful thoughts:

🌾True collaboration begins when we’re willing to build bridges—not only with those who share our views, but especially with those who challenge them.

🌾We don’t need everyone to walk the same path or see through the same lens. What matters is that we listen, learn from one another, and find common ground where our visions intersect—so that together, we can shape the future of education.

For long time I was searching for the graphics which could become an extension of my professional life.
And finally I managed to get symbol that reflects all my current professional directions. I think that the logo reflects my creative approach in translations, language tutoring, combining all these areas with art therapy and bibliotherapy.
Language is a wonderful tool and can become the key to unlimited self-knowledge.

Thanks to Joanna Klikowicz last week we had a very cozy networking. We met in the group of cultural managers, educators, liders, teachers, directors etc.

For me, the most interesting topics were intergenerational relationships and how to be heard in today's social media.
The media gives the impression that we can reach our potential recipients. However, in the stream of all the news and information, a black hole is created. And there are so many beautiful and wonderful cultural initiatives and often they are invisible for potential recipients.

Today we celebrate Teachers Day in Poland.
Dear colleagues I would like to wish us to appreciate ourselves and our work and show it to society. I see a lot of beautiful things and projects. I think we should talk more about good things specially nowadays when the role of teachers is underestimated.
Our main task as teachers is to inspire our students. We influence many choices in our students lives. Teaching is one of the noblest of professions. It requires an adequate preparation and training, patience, devotion, and deep sense of responsibility. Teaching shapes the character and future of an individual, nation and whole world.
