The Thames school director read some article about how having a green wall would enhace the students concentration. He chose this awful shade of lime green, and painted in every room in the school - result my students had head aches, and I started to cover it up.

Students got back to the mural and we are adding the wet road, rain effect and autumn trees.

So added a little colour and need to add the yellow and Orange before I plan the character background. May use sheets of coloured paper to get a view of the children's bit, and how it will balance the wall I am adding above. I corrected Eric Gill's wings. Been driving parents like me nuts for nearly 60 years with his upside down butterfly wings, and putting the caterpillar into a cocoon rather than a chrysilis...lol

Spent a few hours at the Thames British School today creating a wall my daughter can paint with her class, going to put a mural above. The butterfly is for snaps with the kid's.

Finally started my school students off on a new mural. Have chosen to depict the Houses of Parliament, a London taxi and a route master bus. The place is now used by the London Eye, by student memories or Red Ken facing off Maggie from that spot kind of made up my mind.

Bad news and great news. I have been teaching every hour of the week day, and looking after my kid's too much to really get painting on my own projects. Bad news was that my main employer dropped me in the poo by reducing my hours to just 4 a week. I spent a super stressful summer job hunting. Good news is that I now have 5 part time jobs and too much free time. So my bank account is not good but I am starting to think about some serious wall art projects as a teacher and as an Artist. Watch this space lol.
